I read that Kinda Ka is "Closed Temporarily" Does anyone know anything about this? I am going next Wed and Thur and really wanted to ride it

Nope but if you recall it was shut down most of last summer because parts fell off of it! Then when we went last August it got shut down again... DH & DS16 stood in line for 3 hours waiting for it to reopen... they couldn't get the cars to go over the top...

DH gets free tix every year, this year they will be going on Ebay - we will never go back ... in 8 hours time, between standing in lines & break downs we got to ride 4 rides in total...

Dorney Park & Hershey Park are much better options!

Great Adventure ;) is under new management. Hopefully they can get it together!

They sure have a lot of work to do! We live in north jersey and have not been there in years. Only my 16 year old has gone with friends once or twice.....

The park was worn and like one poster said you could get on maybe 4-5 rides a day! They do not have any child swap and the last time I went they wanted you to pay a lot extra for the privildge of a fast pass kind of deal! I payed enough to get my family in thank you.....I don't want to be treated like a second class citizen just because I won"t hand over more $$$$.....

We won't be going back this year. The last 2 years we went only because the kids got free tickets, this year they didn't. We have given up on the park. Even DS13 and DD9 are over the place. Many of the guests are rude, foul mouthed and inconsiderate. The park always seems to be dirty, half of the rides are either broken or just not operating, the other half of the attractions you have to pay extra to go on. I have been trying to get on Superman for the last two years, and have not yet had the chance to ride it. It's always broken, and when it does finally work, you have to wait in line 3 hours before you can get on. :furious: Not worth it. They have taken out many of the non rollercoaster rides, so many of the 7-8-9 set can't go on much because they are either too short or too old, but have to pay full price to get in.

I would rather drive 9 hours to go to Six Flags Darien Lake up near Buffalo. Much more pleasant all around. Plus the waterpark is right in the amusement park, not a separate enterance fee!

I hope the new management can improve the place, otherwise I will never go back.

Well since I already bought the tickets and booked the hotel, this is my vacation. I'm not too worried about the lines since I will be going in the middle of the week in mid-May. I do wish I had know about all the Kinda-Ka problems as that was one of the main reasons we choose to go.

Since it's still too cold, the water park was not a factor, otherwise we probably would have gone to Buffalo

What is Kinda-Ka? I lived in NY 3 years agho and we used to go each year. I heard lots of new stuff has opened and heard that Kinda Ka was supposed to be this great new non-coaste ride.

I've been 6 times this season and only seen it running once. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, It's a big, expensive piece of crap.
