Makes us miss our SSR SO MUCH!!!! There is no comparison...We sat in the water park thinking of Typhoon, rode a few rides, and kept saying "only 141 days until our next trip." Then, the ultimate, we saw the Southwest plane take off from Bradley...We are "home"sick....

BUT, the good news is...We are all booked...Got our AP Vouchers and airfare for 6 was $2000.

I know what you mean about being "home sick". We live in Suffield Ct., 5 minutes from Bradley and I see the planes fly right over our house. Makes me wish I was on those planes:goodvibes

We watched our local 4th of July fireworks and my DS 11 turned to me and said - It's just not the same without the music. LOL

2 weeks until OKW, AKL and HHI!!!!

Janis

Haha!! Just saw local fireworks last night and DS asked..."where is the CASTLE"????

...don't we all wish!!!

Having gone to Disneyland as a child, I was using it as comparison at a relatively young age. I don't even go to standard "Amusement Parks" like Six Flags anymore. They just seem to depress me. I used to like Knotts Berry Farm, but since the Knotts family sold it to Cedar Fair, it has become another dirty, poorly staffed roller coaster park. Nothing compares to Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Last experience was so hellish, I just flat out refuse to go to Six Flags even though there is one close by.

Disney's not perfect but everything else pales in comparison. :cheer2:

We won the DVC membership via the mail in the Year of a Million Dreams....

Was at Six Flags NE (brought my daughter to see Demi Lovato) a few weeks ago. Had no interest in the park. Looked very pedestran, very little theming. Can't wait until October and get back to the World!

Dennis-

I happen to love SFNE. That could be due to the fact that it has the best steel coaster I've ever been on (and a couple quality wooden rides), but it's a cute little park that is worth a visit. I wouldn't suggest a casual fan travel to it, but if it were my home park, I'd be happy.

Then again, my home park is Cedar Point, so I've got nothing to complain about. ;)

Six Flags New England...sucks. Was there over Memorial Day weekend and all I could say was that Disney is so much better than this crap. :cool1: When is my next WDW vacation.

My family of 3 is going to Six Flags New England for the day on friday July 29th and I was wondering how crowded it usually is during weekdays and whether you think flash passes are a good buy. If you do think flash passes are worthwhile, should i get regular or gold? Also, can we use the flash passes an unlimited amount of times during the day? Will it save us a lot of time waiting?

DONT waste your time....They are expensive, and you dont save that much time...Plus, rides like superman and batman are the only ones worth using it, and, last week we went, on Friday I believe, we waited about 20 minutes for Batman around 2pm because mostly everyone was in the waterpark.

Hello to everyone from Massachusetts and beyond! We actually live a couple miles from Six Flags NE. They used to give us free annual passes, then last year half price annual passes and now this year...a day pass. Nothing stays the same. When the kids were little going to Six Flags was great but now they go with friends and my DH and I go maybe twice a year. It doesn't compare by a long shot to our WDW! We'll be down this October to celebrate a BIG birthday for my DH.

WOW!

I found this thread almost a year to the day of it's last post.

Just wanted to say I'll be at Six Flags New England on July 24th. I'm sure I'll be complaining about many things as I compare it to Disney.

April 17, 2010 can't get here soon enough.

(And no, I will not be posting a SFNE trip report):rotfl:
