Six Flags is Flooded! Impressive Video

wow...is that a wooden structure coaster? I'd be really worried about the integrity of the rides after being submerged in water.

There is NO way I would ride that wooden coaster this weekend.

I wonder where all of the coaster cars are??

That water is high?

The paper is reporting that it will be open on Saturday. Personally, I don't see how. There are two wooden coasters, the "Scream Machine" and the "Georgia Cyclone." I would think those would have to be examined very carefully.

I just rode that coaster a few weeks ago and thought it was going to fall apart from wood rot right then and there. There is no way I would ever ride that thing again now..

George

Not to mention the mold or water in the bathrooms, food areas aor the simple fact that the water may not even be gone by Saturday! It's great they are hopeful but geesh.

This week was supposed to be military appreciation week where service members and their families could get in free or cheap. I'm sure they want to be able to still do that like they do every year but it doesn't seem possible.

The scary part is how tall some of those rides are and the water is half way up!

How are they going to clean the place by Saturday? All kinds of disgusting sewerage floats around in flood water. Its not just plain water or even muddy water. Gross.

We were supposed to be going this Saturday......we're putting those plans on hold. We'll probably just wait a fwe weeks, and go for Fright Fest.....

But there's no way I can see them being open.....ok, I cant see them being open, clean and sanitary !

Exactly. Wood + water = warped.

No way after sitting in water is that wood going to be safe. I can't see how any of it can be safe. Water in all the mechanics...this is not like rain water...this is sitting for a period of time in water...causes a lot more damage than run off water. Anyone that has had a flooded basement knows the damage that standing water can cause even in a short time.

It floods alot at Six Flags its right beside the Chattahoochee River. No way they will be open this weekend.

Oh yeah that too :scared1: There is confirmed sewage spillage into the hoochie, it was on the news. It always smells like poo anyway though :rotfl:

Wow that is crazy! No way can it be safe to be open by this weekend. I wouldn't get on any of those rides after being under water for days!

It is never a good sign when your roller coasters are now log flumes and your playgrounds are scuba-ready...
