So step one is taken care of. I'll be at WDW May 20-25th and thought I could take the first step and look at some sites. I called DFTW and Pam got back with me to set up an appointment! I was SO excited to get the email confirmation.

Can anyone give me an idea of what information they will be able to provide for me on that day? Or will it basically be an overview of what I already know.

you'll be able to get some info from a site visit..but when i went to mine, it was mostly info i already knew thanks to these boards! They will basically show you around the places you're interested in, and tell you more about seating capacity, and how the basic schedule of events would unfold on your big day. they won't really get into details about cakes, decorations, and all those types of things because that's a job for your wedding planner (when one is assigned to you). At the site visit, they are trying to sell the disney wedding to you, so you can make a deposit that seals the deal...after that you're handed off to a planner where the real planning can begin :woohoo: It's definitely helpful to see the sites in person though. when I went, there were actual weddings being set up, so we got to see what the pavilion looked like with decorations, as well as the reception locations (it was a busy day for weddings that afternoon!)

hope this helps!

I agree with the previous post. However, we also did get a cool folder that had lots of info in it (we already knew most of it). It did come with a sample Save the Date, though, so it was neat to see that.
