We are going to use a 40 ft TT, would I need a preferred or premium site and which loop would you recommend? 700?

Our preference is for Premium and the 700 loop is a good loop for ease of backing in many sites.

Premium would gaurentee youll fit, if I did got that route I would choose 500 (need a pet loop.) But I fit my 40' 5th wheel into the 300 loop, though I had to change sites as the one they initially assigned me wouldnt fit the 5th wheel and pretty sure even my old Monaco Knight would have had issues fitting into the site.

I would go with a Premium site. The Preferreds are a bit smaller and the loops are a little tighter. You could probably find a preferred site you will fit on, but navigating around the loops could be a bit interesting. I have a 31 ft 5er that I have had to make a couple of tries getting into sites on Loop 100. I've also had to wait for people to move their trucks parked at the edge of the road so I could get around the loop.

And I regularly pull a 44 ft toy hauler and 48 ft race car hauler all over the central part of the country.

Parking on the loops has always been an issue, even 50 loops I have had to wait for people to move one of their vehicles out of the way.

We were in loop 300 a couple years ago with a 34' TT. The day we arrived, a 40' Motorhome clipped the front of our truck (took the bumper with him) as he could not make the turn around the loop road. After a great week, we were hooked up early and ready to leave. We had to roll a couple of golf carts out of the way to get the trailer out of our space as they were parked on the side of the loop road. Since then, we book premium sites and have not had any issues getting in or out of our site.

Unless a truck is parked too close to the loop road I have never come close to anyone parked in their site. Its the ones that straddle 1-2 feet of the road that make it difficult for me. Be it the 300 loop or the 500 loop, though with the bigger sites most people fit all of their cars and golf carts into the site where in the 300 loop most of them don't or push it.

We were very pleased with the 1400 outer loop. It was easy to park a 40' 5th wheel and very closed to the Meadow store, campfire, and pool. It's a premium area though.
