Raise your hand if you've used a sit-n-stand type stroller for Disney.

What brand did you have? How did you like it?

For my Dec trip I will have a one year old and almost 4 year old - both boys. I really like the look of the Fisher-Price Stand and Ride Duo which is discontinued (of course) but I'm hoping one will pop up on craigslist or e-bay. Anyone use that one? Or have one they want to sell :)

We used the baby trend one and loved it. Our kids are 2.5 and 9 months so we have the deluxe one that has two regular seats and you can remove the back seat to have the jump seat.

DO NOT BUY THE FISHER PRICE SIT-N-STAND STROLLER!

It was truly the worst stroller we have owned. We bought it when we had our third child thinking it would be better than our double stroller. Well, we should have splurged for a more expensive sit-n-stand. It was the worst stroller ever. It would never turn in the direction we wanted and when we pushed it we could feel each and every movement of the kids. It was terrible.

I have friends with the Ride Duo and I have tired it out. It is a much better option than the Fisher Price one.

I won't be selling mine....but we have the Joovy Caboose Sit and Stand style stroller and LOVE IT!!!!!

My girls were only 3months old and 4 years old when I bought it and it still handles nicely almsot 4 years later!

We've used it in WDW and thought it was much easier to deal with than a wide double stroller - which we also had on our last trip. We zoomed through crowds alot easier!!!

Only downside to it is that folded up, it's heavy. We took on Disney busses but my DH was the one in charge of it! LOL

We have the Joovy Ultralight Caboose for our 2 boys (3yo and 2 months). So far we love it! It is perfect for our 3 year old who can get in and out on his own. We tested a few of the other sit and stands but they just seemed very flimsy.

The real test will be our Disney trip this month, we leave on Saturday:)

Thanks for the advice on the FP stroller. It's hard to decide on something like this without test driving it and since it's DC'd that's not really an option. I don't really like the look of the Joovy but looks might be moot at this point.

I am also going to look into the Mia Moda sit-n-stand stroller. Anyone have that one?

I have the Baby Trend Sit and Stand and I love it. It's been on 5 trips to Disney! I was just thinking today about donating it. My daughter is 5 and walked almost exclusively on our trip in January, so I don't think we'll be needing it anymore. Where are you in PA? If you're near Pittsburgh, I may be willing to sell.

I have the FP and absolutely love it! I have no problems with steering at all. My kids are 6 and 2. We used this stroller last year at the parks and it worked out great. I wonder if something was wrong with yours? I have not had any of the problems you mentioned. I got mine at Big Lots for $99. G/L! OP.

I also had the fisher price stroller and LOVED it!!! My daughter loved being in the front. It had soooo much more room for her. My 3 year old (54 lbs. and 42 in tall) ds fit great in the front seat too. he loved it in the back also. I think the shopping bag is such a bonus. It worked great for us. We used it all the time at the zoo, mall, parks, and canton trade days. I bought it on ebay for $150 with shipping. I just sold it in our local consignment sale for $125. It holds up awesome!!!

Omgosh! That joovy sit and stand stroller is so pretty. It comes in pink too.. :lovestruc
I have a Peg Perego Pliko P3 in pink. Now I just need another kiddo to get the joovy. Which probably won't happen. ;)

I have the sit and stand by baby trend - love it. Used it at Disney with a 2 and 5 year old. I will be taking it back with a 3 and 7 year old. The only downsize is that it is very heavy, not too bulky, just heavy. The problem with that are the busses. Since Disney raised the prices of stroller rental it is well worth it.:cheer2:

I love this thread! I will be taking our Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand stroller with us in 5 DAYS!! I love ours and I'm happy to see all the good reports for using it at WDW!

I have the FP sit and stand and love it. I also bought it at Big Lots for $99 in Fall 2007 for our 1st Disney trip. Though DH thought it was crazy as we already had a double but it turned out to be so much better than the double. Plan on using it on Disney trip this month.

I did just get a flyer from Babies R Us and it had one (don't remember the brand) for around $115.

I had the FP sit & stand. I was so excited about it too and bought it as soon as it came out. The problem was the seat would not stay up. We called FP and they asked us to send it back to them. I was fine with that until I found I could not buy another one!!!!!!!!!! I was so mad. We now have the Joovy Caboose Ultralight. I have found it turns better than any other sit & stand (I tried them all with my kids in them). It is lightweight and works out great.

I am looking at a sit and stand for our disney trip in December so this was helpfull.

I have a Graco Duo but I'm not a fan plus i want something that will be good for a 2yr old and 4yr old.

I'm glad you said that. I was trying to decide whether to bring one or two umbrella strollers for a 4 and 6 yr old. We have a Baby Trend sit n stand, but I thought it would be too heavy to lug down there. Plus, with a 50 lb kid and a 35 lb kid, it'll be too heavy to navigate through the park. But you *are* thinking about your 7 yr old using one.

I'm thinking of bringing one, lightweight umbrella stroller and letting them take turns sitting in it when they're tired. (or perhaps one for each would be better?)

It's not hard at all to navigate as long as the heavier child is in the back. My kids are 30lbs and almost 60lbs. I'm a fairly small adult and I don't have any problem pushing the two of them this way. It is a heavy stroller, but not too heavy - I think it weighs 20lbs. I've never had any problem getting it into the trunk of our rental car by myself. I really love it and couldn't imagine our last 5 trips without it.
