Anyone know a sitdown restaurant that would be convenient to get to on the way to Typhoon Lagoon. It will be our arrival day so we will probably check in at CSR, change and head right out to lunch around 12 noon then to TL.

P.S. we will be using disney transportation

I believe TL is very close(maybe across the street from) Downtown Disney. You could have lunch over there or just head to TL and eat there - counter service, quick and good, then straight into the water.

The Boardwalk isn't too far, either. Both Big River Grille and ESPN are open for lunch. Beaches and Creme at the Beach Club is a great place for lunch, too.

Only problem is that there will not be a direct bus from one resort to another. DTD will be easier in your situation. If it doesn't have to be sit down, there is a wonderful new counter service place called Earl of Sandwich.

You could have lunch before leaving CSR or just g with the counter service at TL. There's really nothing convenient between the two.

Are you on a meal plan where you must eat at a table service restaurant? It just seems a bit unusual when going to a water park to eat a big meal.

Take the bus to Downtown Disney and have lunch at Bongo's or Wolfgang Pucks, then either grab a cab to TL ($5 or so plus tip) or take a bus to CBR then transfer to TL.

I agree with the other posters, without a car, there's really nothing worth going "sit down" to, it's all very out of the way.

I forgot you couldn't get a bus from DD to TL. .......hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Typhoon Lagoon is literally across the street from the Cirque du Soleil tent. So, if you made it that far walking along Downtown Disney, just walk through the parking lot and cross the street, walk to the right and there you are!

awesome...thanks. I didn't realize it was within walking distance from dd. That would be perfect.

if you do walk into TL, just take care walking through the entrance driveway; the road is very curvy and windy and sometimes those buses go ripping through there! I'm not sure that there are sidewalks either.

If we decide to get a cab......do we need to call a cab company or are they just around the area??

They will be around the area--near the Virgin Records store there is a cab stand.

I wouldn't walk, there are no sidewalks and WDW will not allow you to walk on roads with no sidewalks.
