Can someone please tell me if there is any counter food places in any of the parks that have the feel of a sit down restaurant? (like Panera bread restaurants)

Columbia Harbor House in MK has a cozy feel in the upstair seating area and to me it feels nicer than a standard CS.

I know you asked about inside the park, but at DTD, Wolfgang Puck Express definitely has a sit-down feel because you order at the register and they bring the food to your table.

Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD is as close as you can get to TS while still being CS. LOVE that place! :thumbsup2

I also like Flame Tree BBQ, because the tables are outside and have a nice view. It's usually very quiet there.

As mentioned, Columbia Harbor House in MK is also a good option.

While not at a park, the Pepper Market at CSR has TS feel with it only being CS. Their food is really food as well, DH main reason to continue staying at CSR is for the Pepper Market, he loves it!

But I have to agree Wolfgang Puck in DTD has incredible CS...my favorite by far! I love their creme brulee with strawberries :worship:

I think Sunshine Seasons in The Land at EPCOT has a varied menu and a "sit-down" feel.

Wolfgang Puck Express. you just have to order at the counter and they serve you at your table. :]

I agree about Columbia Harbor House at MK. Sunshine Seasons menu offerings lean toward TS, but the atmosphere is school cafeteria.

Yakitori House, the CS is Japan in Epcot definitely has the feel you are looking for, at least when we went it did! LOL. The room is very nice, high ceiling with lots of windows. Something about the room made me get that library feel, it seemed like I could tell there were conversations going on, but it wasn't in my face loud, like so many CSs. Depending on the time of year you go, the outside patio looked very nice to me, but was too hot for us. There are umbrella tables and a water feature, a decent amount of greenery and it is tucked away from the main walkway of Epcot.

If you sit in the very front room (very, VERY limited seating) at Tangierine Cafe in Morocco in Epcot, it can have that feel. You can't see the service counter at all. The main dining room was a little dark for my taste, not very many windows, so can't comment about there.

I would have to disagree with the PP about Sunshine Seasons, if that is the food service in the land. Maybe it depends on the time of day, but the foot traffic through that whole area really wrecks the atmosphere for me there. Or maybe they know of a nice nook to hide in?

Wolfgang Puck Express (be prepared to leave a tip even though it's counter service even if you are on the DDP), and Pepper Market (again, be prepared to tip 10% if you're not on the DDP)

Yakatori has the atmosphere--but the food... (If you REALLY research what to order ahead of time you might find something that is not fatty and gross)

Sunshine Season's has a food court atmosphere but food offerings are NOT like a food court:salmon, veggies and then creme brulee for dessert.

Definitely WPE--I also thought Tangierine Cafe was similar--you order at the counter, but there are plenty of tables inside for you to sit down at.

The upstairs of CHH is quiet the majority of the time. You can escape the craziness of the downstairs and park. I like to grab a table near a window to people watch.

We only ate the Teriyaki Chicken and the sushi there. MY DS LOVED the chicken. It was really tasty. Regular chicken, not breaded. The sushi tasted like the kind you get in a grocery store, which was fine for me. The cake they serve is the same cake from the TS. The green tea was really good too. (I don't drink soda.)

I've never left a tip at WPE...

Columbia Harbour House definitely.

The CS location in China would sort-of meet the criteria, much like the CS in Morocco.

Sunshine Season does not have a great atmosphere but the food is probably the best CS on property and much closer to TS that most other CS locations (it just doesn't have a TS atmoshpere - like a PP mentioned it is more like a cafeteria - but with good food).

In the MK, I agree with the upstairs seating area at Columbia Harbor House. We also really like to have lunch at the Main Street Bakery. It's very quaint and cozy inside. The lunch offerings are yummy and you have a great view of Main Street.

At Hollywood Studios, our favorite counter service is Starring Rolls. The sandwiches and desserts are delicious; however, the only seating area is outside. It's nice, though - covered tables and a great view of Sunset Boulevard.

At EPCOT, the Electric Umbrella has upstairs seating. When we've eaten there, it's been very peaceful and not at all crowded upstairs.

I would say WPE and Pepper Market...the rest feel like food courts at the mall.

I agree with Earl of Sandwich (DTD) and Tangierine Cafe (Epcot). I also think Pinnochio Village House is nice at the tables where you are overlooking It's a Small World.

Thanks for all the great ideas, so many places to choose from. can't wait to try wgpe. How many cs places have AC so your not boiling hot? =)

I agree with some that have already been mentioned. Sunshine Seasons because they have such a wide variety like salmon, chicken which feels more "sit down", I also always sit upstairs at CHH it seems quieter and less hectic.
