We're going in January and we're hoping it will be less busy. We were originally thinking about just planning one TS per day, but we are now considering scheduling some character breakfasts in the morning and then also a buffet or sit down dinner. We were thinking about doing this for maybe half of the trip. We will be going with a 4 year old and so we will definitely have to have 3 meals per day to keep him on schedule, BUT..Will this be too much? What does everyone else do? Just one TS a day?

There are so many great restaurants. It is so tempting to want to try them all. OTOH, I don't want to get carried away, which I have a tendancy to do.

I have two days where we're doing a TS character breakfast at 10:30 and then we have ADR's for a TS suppers. We won't have lunch since the breakfast is late enough to be a Brunch. We'll have granola bars for a mini-breakfast.

Either have a light lunch on the day you do the character or sitdown brekfast or as the previous poster suggested have a light early breakfast then schedule breakfast for 11:00am so it is like an early lunch. Sometimes we only have icecream for lunch but with kids, you are absolutely right that 3 meals a day is the way to go. We have always done this with my sister's twin, who made their first trip at 3.5 and have five more under their belts.

we have an occasional big breakfast ( for hubby who loves them) then skip lunch &r maybe have a snack and usually an early ts dinner...we can not do ts lunch and ts dinner...not a long enough "between meal time" for us

That's what we always do pretty much every day - a table service breakfast, a light counter service meal (usually just a snack, really) for lunch, and a table service dinner. It works out great for us. We love all the different restaurants and we've been many times, so we don't feel like we have to run non-stop through the parks. We enjoy a much more laid back approach these days.

I just posted in another thread that we usually have 2 ts meals a day! We like doing a character breakfast or else breakfast at the kona Cafe (love the tonga toast and eggs with grits!) and then a sit-down dinner.

At Christmas, with the toddler, we always had to stop and get something to eat for lunch too to keep him on schedule. :cheer2:
