Sit and Stand modifications?

We are going to be at the parks with DD 3 and DS 1. We have a Sit and Stand stroller which is great for pushing both kids but not very "nap worthy" for DS. Has anyone ever made modifications to their Sit and Stand to make it more comfortable for the child sitting? Any suggestions on what worked for you?

We made a fabric sling/seat sort of thing for our elder daughter to relax in...she usually sits "pretzel legged " or curls up on her side as there isn't much room for her feet in the basket part of the stroller. She says she is quite comfy napping in it. I was worried it may make the stroller tippy, but it did not. The cloth sling rolls nicely into itself, so we shove it in the basket when not in use.

Hopefully these photos adequately show what we did... The top portion is fitted over the handle. The portion that goes over the bench seat wraps around it and velcros to itself. I added the wings to give extra support across her back-also used velcro here.

I bought some clearance upholstry fabric (that is why it doesn't match), but it was cheap.

Even though I am well past the stroller stage, that is a great idea! I love it!

thanks for the pics!!! we bought the same one for our trip to disney...altho different name brand, i swear it's the exact same style....may just have to try this for dd!

My mother in law came up with a great idea. Ours is a "Sit and Stand" which has an attachment for the infant car seat. That sticks out pretty far in the front, but if you turn it upside down and slide it back in it creates a natural leg rest and doesn't stick out as much. We covered it with a cloth and there you go. I'll try to post pics later but I think it is going to be much more comfortable for our little one when we leave tomorrow!
