Sister Wives

I thought the thing about the "six pack abs" was the stupidest thing I had ever heard come out of his mouth, but this exceeds that by miles!!!
I am repulsed by the sight of my third wife eating nachos, I want to pretend I don't have a first wife and refuse to tell her that for years, Janelle only like me for my pecs, Robyn is perfect.

Yup he's a good man for a spot in hell :rotfl2:

Do you think Cody and Robyn read all the negative feelings viewers have about them on social media?

💯 They are attention…. What’s the word?…hogs, yeah, that’s what I was looking for.😉

Plus, what else do they have to do?

If that is the case then Sobyn needs to stop calling out only Christine for saying she's emotional because all of us agree...

I just saw a clip of an interview Christine did where she said that the Ysabel surgery situation was when she knew it was over, like we all already knew. He said "I can't leave my family for that long" and Ysabel said something like "I'm his daughter, I thought we are his family". Ugh, makes me so sad for her, and makes me dislike him even more!

It's sad, and they will never acknowledge it's the2 of them not the 20+ other people in the family.

I'd be disappointed if Christine had any other reaction to that than the one she did. Because it's one of the worst parenting moments I've ever seen.

So many times in recent years when Kody said something like that to the other wives or his kids, you could feel the disrespect that they must have felt. “I have to take Sol and Ari to school.” Ugh, you never took anyone else to school.

Good grief, Truly nearly died because Kody neglected the youngest when he was left in charge but now, Sol and Ari are “just babies…they need me.”

And he thinks Christine and Janelle are turning the kids against him. Geez!

I'd have to go back and see that footage again, but I SWEAR he said now I "want" to do this so I'm going to. Regardless, how hurtful for those other kids who never got those small day to day moments.

Same with that ear piercing scene. Never mind that he wouldn't allow the other girls to get their ears pierced, but he wouldn't have gone along if he did.

Don't know if this was already mentioned but I just noticed an episode comes on tonight - 9:00pm ET. It is called Sister Wives Talk Back Part 1.

When Kody talked about not having access to Janelle’s kids, etc - majority didn’t even live at home. And Gabe and Garrison were grown adults with cell phones.
Exactly. The reason he doesn't have access to his kids is his own fault. Either he doesn't reach out or they don't answer him. And that's his fault, too. I can't 'make' my grown sons do anything either.

I would like to see them react to each other's comments about the show they just watched. Like Meri saying that she had fond memories of times with Christine and would like to be in touch with her.

I was thinking the same thing. We need a "talk back" to the "talk back"!

That ear piercing scene was one of the cringiest things I’ve ever seen. It just creeped me out. I can’t really pinpoint why. Maybe because it was so performative. Kody is a stunningly uninvolved father so it was so clearly “for the cameras.” Plus, his daughter is actually a grown woman at this point so ridiculous that he was granting permission.

I haven't been able to watch the "Look Back" or whatever its called because I normally watch on Discovery+ or Max and its not on either one. The TLC app has it, but you have to log in with a cable or satellite provider which I don't have. I wonder why its not on Discovery or Max.

the 'look back' episodes have been interesting to watch esp. the one 'look back: how it started' where they show some of the early episodes. if you have the ability to pause and rewind-take the time to pay attention to the expressions on some of the kid's faces during some of the scenes. during the initial viewing of these episodes/rewatching the scenes you get a vibe of how the kids are supposedly reacting to whatever is occuring BUT it's often very colored by how the youngest react (or over-react as little kids are prone to)-with cheers, squeels of joy...taking the time to look at the faces of several of the older kids paints a different picture. several react silently with facial expressions of frustration, upset and anger. at one point when the adults are talking about how the kids reacted to the announcement of robyn's first pregnancy it's spoken to how some of the teens were not supportive but if you go back even further to when kody announced robyn/her kids becoming part of the family you can see some sullen reactions on older kid's faces.

the scenes that angered me back when they aired and even more now are when they are packing up to move to las vegas-they have those kids in a panic thinking the police are going to come in and arrest kody. their reaction to an emergency vehicle's siren in the background is telling of their fear.

I couldn’t find them either on xfinity demand :(
