SO i've been reading everyone's trip reports on here for a couple of weeks ever since I brought up the prospect of going to Disney again in December. She's a nurse so she gets 3 weeks vacation and my job is so lenient because I don't get a paid vacation. Introducing us, Me: Heather, 22
Her: Amber, 24 (will be 25 on our trip)
This will be our second trip in 2013 and overall. We went previously in February. Our original flight was booked for February 9th but you know that happened to be the day Blizzard Nemo blew into Connecticut. My town happened to get 33 inches of snow in total. Needless to say our flight was cancelled and had been since that Thursday. I was so upset, this was supposed to be my first ever trip to WDW EVER! and it was delayed. I got on the phone with Jetblue immediately after I found out my flight was cancelled. We were supposed to be flying out of Hartford and nothing was available until tuesday for flights. I wasn't having that so I asked about JFK which is only an hour and a half away. Sunday was the earliest and I grabbed that flight asap.
My sister wasn't as upset as I was but she doesn't show emotions well anyways so I won't ever really know if she was upset or not. Now was the question of how we were getting to JFK. Luckily, my dad being the great dad he is offered to pay the limo. Our problem was getting out of our house. Snowed in with 33 inches of snow on the street and everywhere. So we wrapped our suitcases in a garbage bag, donned our snow gear and trekked to the end of our street where the main roads were clear. It was a hassle but luckily we had some great neighbors clear a path with their snowblowers to get us to the end of the street. It was like something out of a movie. We got to the airport and onto our flight we went. We did Disney the first half then Universal, Discovery Cove and SeaWorld. As soon as we came home I needed to go back again, we hardly did anything as we were with our cousins most of the time.
So here I am now, having planned this trip since February.
From: Hartford-Orlando on JetBlue
Where: Coronado Springs Resort
When: December 8-13
Why: BECAUSE CHRISTMAS AT DISNEY OF COURSE.
Currently no ADRs but i'm planning on trying to get lunch at Be Our Guest.
