Who else watches all the YouTube videos of parents surprising they're kids for a Disney vacation.... sometimes I get a lil teary eyed

When I am feeling a bit down, I watch video after video. I love the creative ways that people have come up with to announce/surprise their kids with a trip. When I started planning our big December trip it was an idea not not a trip plan. By the time I realized I could pull it off and convinced DH of it my kids had over heard far too many conversations for me to trick them into thinking we could not go to try to pull off a surprise. But it has been nice having their input into the plans. I have managed to plan surprises for them on the trip like daily fairy gifts and in room decorations. It will be a trip of all trips and I could not be more excited.

We are going in two weeks and are surprising our kids at the airport the morning we fly out. They are 9 & 4. We are telling them I am going on a business trip then when we are at the airport saying goodbye we'll tell them we are going RIGHT NOW to Disneyland. I know for a fact I will be balling like a baby when I can finally tell them.

I love watching the surprise videos too! They inspired me (in part) to surprise my daughter when we went 2.5 years ago.

For the previous poster who noted her kids had overheard too much to be able to pull off a surprise, with my DD, I told her we were going a year later than we really were. So, I would ask her, "What do you want to do when we go to Disneyland when you are 9?" and she would tell me whatever was on her mind about it. This continued up until hours before I told her that we were leaving the next morning. She has asked for another surprise trip, and I have to admit, I *love* getting to surprise her!
