SiriusXM offer I just received

DW and I are addicted to Sirius in our cars. It just makes the entire driving experience so much better. When we bought our VW cars new, we opted not to get the $1100 Dynosound upgrade (the premium sound was better than anything we had previously), and instead bought the $499 Lifetime Sirius package. My Lifetime package ('06) includes Sirius Internet (great at work) and can be transferred up to 3 times to a different vehicle. My DW's Lifetime package ('10) has no internet or transfer options. Since we keep our cars until they drop dead, the Lifetime packages have worked out very well for us. No having to worry about rate increases, calling every few months, etc. etc. And our per 'month cost' only keeps going down the longer we keep our cars.

Wonder how many customers would they have if they just made their basic plan $5/month. I know I would probably would keep it.

Totally agree, I am sure many more people would sign up increasing their bottomline

Just got the $5 a month for 5 months on all 3 of my radios. I called for 2 of them as they renew together and the other a month later. I was told I got the deal but would have to call back right before the other radio was up for renewal. Later that day something told me to check on it. Signed onto the web site and it did not show I had that deal. I called and was told I had the $89 year deal on both radios. Told the rep I was not happy with what happened and that I was given the 5/5 deal earlier in the day, of course I was very nice to him as I knew it wasn't his fault. He changed it for me. Couple days later I got a survey about my recent call. I did not leave good marks, but made sure put in the comments that the second guy I talked to was great. At then end of the survey it asked if they could call me to talk about it. Got a call the next day. Told them of my issue with the first call but said the second guy I talked to was great. Ended up the first guy I talked too lied to me about his name as well, but they had it on record who I talked to. I told her I had another radio that was going to renew at the beginning of May and was afraid the same thing might happen. She asked if I wanted to renew it right then for the same 5/5 rate which I did.

We got 3 months free when we bought our car in February. So it expires May 14th. Should I call to renew now or wait until closed to our expiration date?

I renewed one year= $95

I am happy with that rate!

I think this is the price we just got.

It's much better then the $54.95 they wanted us to pay for three months. We ended up cancelling and then called them back a week later to get this new rate.

Thanks OP i just got my DH rate lowered to this from 14.99 a month! Thanks so much! I then signed under my trial for my account and they gave me the promo active when my trial ends on May 23, so you don't have to wait!

:thumbsup2

Just cancelled. They couldn't or wouldn't come down to the $95 per radio. We had all the channels and internet.
They tried to do "all access" on 1 and Select on the other. That doesn't work for me and I can't see paying more for what we paid last year.
Oh well, I tried but must have not talked to the right person. On a side note, the best price was $54 "all access" for 6 months.
This would have worked out to $114 a year per radio, so it was going to be almost $30 more total.
I just didn't want to have to go thru this BS in 6 months, so I said cancel.
What got me even more upset was they tried only canceling 1 radio. Glad I asked was this both!

I got so fed up with them a few years ago that I just cancelled mine. DH kept his, but I'm a huge Pandora fan so since I have that streaming in my car, I don't even see the need for XM.
