Does anyone know what I can do? It fades in and out in the house, and in the car. Very Frustrating for DH. We don't seem to have good reception here on the Cape. He's tried moving the antenna around to find a good spot in the house, in the car forget it you can't even listen to anything.

Any suggestions?

If this is happening in both your home and car, there could be something wrong with the receiver itself. What kind is it? How long have you had it? Also you can check the forums on www.siriusbackstage.com and see if anyone else has had the same issue with the receiver.

Also where do you have your antennas mounted?

I got DH a Sportster Replay, he uses it in the Boom Box in the house and he mounted a unit in the car with an antenna mounted on the roof.

I got him this for an X-Mas gift.

With the car antenna mounted on the roof there shouldn't be any issues, unless going through a covered area (like a tunnel, toll booth or densly covered woods). We have the Sportster Replay and have not had any issues, but that doesn't mean there have not been any. I am not sure how the boom box works since we have the home dock.

Are you by chance using FM Wireless Transmitter to play through the units mentioned? I have XM, and use the Wireless FM Transmitter. Sometimes, if traveling, I have to find a different FM station to park on.

We didn't know that you could switch stations, we will search!
Thanks!
Thanks for the website too, I'll ask there if that doesn't work.

Mine is really bad too. I go under a lot of bridges so it always cuts off then. And there are many areas where I get static. I can't put my antenna on the roof because I drive a convertible and I can't put it on the trunk because it's plastic. But I have it right next to the trunk so I would think it should work. I'm not happy about this at all. It's a lot of money to pay for such poor reception and it doesn't seem right that we have to buy extra equipment to make it work.

But that wouldn't account for the boom box problem, since you are not using the FM transmittor with that. I am guessing there is still some kind of antenna. We get away with having our home antenna sitting in a window, but most people have to mount the antenna outside.
