Sirenia88's now somewhat live TR... Tea with Alice!

DH and I joke that we are trying to hit every Walmart in the US because we always end up there on vacation.

As far as guessing which loop, maybe I should start at 100 and go all the way through until I get it right. :) I'll let someone else try that!

Thanks for doing a trip report. I am living vicariously through everyone else's trips until next summer or fall.

The DW, DD,and DA made it down to Disney safely. I picked them up from the magic express bus stop. During the day, I finally got to use the pools! The hot tub felt good to the bones. The DGPs and I found the other pool in the cabins section. That is a nice out of the way stop.

Today will be the first full day at the parks. It will be an MK day to kick it all off.

On a side note, has anyone guess the which loop I am in? The 2 clues I have provided plus a hidden clue has provided the answer. Any thoughts about maybe meeting up somewhere at the fort like the pool during the an off day or at night.

We have time in our vacation in which I don't need to be in a park for the entire day.

Based on the EWP loud reference, I'm guessing a Preferred loop (100-200)? :scratchin

I'm up for meeting. Out tomorrow till about 5, then we will be back and probably at the pool/hot tub by about 6. When ever works best for you, we are here till next Saturday.

Good guess but not 100/200 loops. I am further in than that! Look at my clues again and think outside the loop (get it? out side the loop instead of the box!) The EWP is definitely loud where I am at. However, I could see it be a bit louder if at the 100/200 due to the location.

I am trying to make it a little for entertaining as everyone generally says "I'm in this loop."

Another hint I got the Christmas lights up on the trailer. Our loop still has about 3 Halloween sites. 2 of them are pretty large. 2 turkeys for T Day. at least 2 if not more Christmas.

Yes that could work. We are modifying our Epcot plans so we can be back in time for Planes. I got to see most of Cars the other night. However, one of the DGPs wanted to watch the fireworks so that was cut short. MY DD and I like watching Planes. So we are making sure we see it on the big Disney screen.

Now for the TR...

Thursday, first day of the parks! The DD started the day off right. A trip to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique was in order. She wore a Pink gown to the park. Since we are a group of 6 but only have 1 cart for another day or two, the DGF gets us up to the dock first then goes back to pick up the DA and DGM. He said get her to her appointment. My DW and DD trek forth to get her to the castle on time. I have never been to the opening of the park. It was pretty neat. Once we were in, we found her royal highness getting her hair done for the big day. The fairy god mother in training did an excellent job and got the whole family involved including my dad.(DGF) She was also very funny. As a matter of fact, when we were waiting for our table for CRT, she came up to us and said how great our daughter looked. Nothing like be a princess for a day.

After BBB, we went over the princess shop where she got her pictures taken. She was just adorable. However we are not smiling due to a missing tooth. A little shy but she gives a bit of a smirk like she is going to do something funny.

The first attraction, Philharmagic. The DD loves it. Then after philharmagic, we went on the small world ride. My level of tolerance must be getting stronger as I hummed the song the whole time. After we got off the ride, The evil stepmother and the 2 step sisters were at the castle.

Now when we were going to the Princess shop, the trio noticed my daughter as she had a different look. When we went into line, the CM said no more for another 45 minutes. When we came back, the line was there but we had another 30 minutes for CRT breakfast. Then my DD got to meet the trio. I must say did they have something in store for her. Most of the other kids got the autograph and picture. These CM who played them, put on a show! Now my mom (DGM) was holding a doll for the DD. It was hers from when she was my DDs age. They asked if they could use it. She said sure. These CMs just started to roll with it. I am not bragging but I have never see random people just stop and start taking photos and videos during this interaction (as in the whole line not just my DDs time) It was something else. They had an audience going! By the time it was over some actually gave an applause. My daughter was smiling ear to ear. We were smiling ear to ear.

Up to CRT for breakfast! This was pretty cool to eat inside the castle. I had friends who did this before. They said do the breakfast over the dinner. No problem. Breakfast is something the whole group can agree on. I'm not going into details but just do it if you have the funds or the chance. It is pretty darn cool to experience yourself.

After breakfast, it was a few more rides. Tea cups and ETWB (One of my top favs for interactions) DD got to play Philippe I got to play a knight... again. Probably cause I'm a big guy. :) Also I get my own photo op with a real princess! LOL I know it's corny. We went on a couple of more rides. Then Be our Guest for lunch. The food was descent but I didn't care for the noise within the great hall/ ballroom. After that, we decided it was back to the campground for some R&R poolside.

After the last trip, we are not pushing as hard for parks. If we get tired, back to the Fort. A few hours later we headed back to the park. We did a few other rides but the DGPs were tired. We told them to head out while the fireworks were going on. I looked at the Disney app and saw mine train was 30 minutes! Went to the wife and said lets go! we got there and were on in about 25 minutes. While cutting thru LS and original Fantasyland, we experienced the fireworks from a different prospective. Very cool from the backside of the castle. We got on to Mine train line. The ride itself was pretty cool. However, I would fast pass it the next time. Even though it was a 30 minute wait, the DD was fading fast in which we needed the energy to get back to the Fort.

Our trip back to the Fort was pleasant and included corny jokes from an older fellow that was everything pirate or about the construction of Disney.

Today is Epcot short day with a Fort movie mixed in. We got a few things at Epcot we would like to do. But after the last time, we are not trying to get Epcot done in a day.

Maybe today or tomorrow another update will written, produced and co produced by me! :D

Snow medic, yeah we were at Epcot today but didn't get back until later like 530ish. We got to the singalong around 720ish. Watched the the first 45 minutes of Planes and then my DD crashed she wanted to make it back to the trailer to sleep. She feel asleep in the ride back to the site. We got her up to brush her teeth then literally out like a light in her bunk.

Today's trip report is brought to you buy the "Brews of the world" at Epcot!

This morning we hit Trail's End for some breakfast before heading the Epcot. After eating, we took the boat ride to the Contemporary for the Monorail to the transportation center for the connecting ride to Epcot.

Once in the park, we took a walk over to the sea for Turtle Talk with Crush. Very cool interaction. However, it was getting pretty repetitious with same jokes/lines. Enough with the Dude literally every 2 seconds. The waiting area as far as I am concerned was poor. Lack of ventilation, noise volume, and being packed in to a small room was getting pretty annoying. Once in the turtle room, it was cooler and easier to deal with. If there were a few seating locations instead of people just sitting on the floor. It would have been better too. After Turtle talk, we hit up Under the sea with Nemo.

After the sea, we went to the Land for the ride. I like that ride as it has educational informative use. At this point we decided to tour the food and wine festival. While walking over to Mexico to start our journey, we stopped off for an Agent P seek and solve. DD and DW did one country and both said this is too long. DW said if they made it like 5-10 minutes for each country, it would have been different. DGM and DA picked up a couple of Margaritas while I wondered over to Norway for some beer. Looks like Norway has taken off with Frozen. Strangely enough a tale loosely based off a Dane's children's tale. But I found what they were presenting in the one of the buildings was their culture and history. It was neat to see how they showed the influence of the culture in the movie.

The rest of the group went ahead while I was wondering around Norway then China. Then I realized I was out of beer and Germany was ahead. However, logic got the better of me and I decided to partake in the food portion of the event. A pretzel from Germany and some excellent Italian food solved that issue. While in Italy, I had the local brew. It was tasty. By the time we regrouped, we were at the American Experience. At which point, the DGPs wanted to make it back to the Fort. The DD was not into going into different countries. So they decided to make the boat trip back to future land for an exit out of the park.

My wife and I continued to tour the countries. We got through the countries but we were spent ourselves. We decided to call it a day and make it back to the fort for movie night. As we were going to the ramp for the monorail, my wife goes I bet the rest of them will be standing waiting for the monorail to come by. Sure enough, we come up the ramp and there they were. We took the MR back to CR for the boat ride back to FW. Of course while making our way to the launch, we past the shops. Everyone said why not, let's shop. I got myself a nice plush Sven. OK I like Frozen but I also have a Pascal on my dash which is pretty rockin'. It speaks volumes about diving in congested areas.

We all made our way back to the fort. The captain on our boat was definitely a trip. Very funny and quite the singer. The DD was getting quite tired. We got back to the trailer to get something to eat again and prep for Planes.

Now tonight the movie was Planes. My dad never saw Planes. He wanted to go. We made sure we were properly dressed for the movie. We brought the blankets for the seats. I know it is a Friday night but it was crowded! We sat in the bleachers and this large family group came in and quite frankly were noisy during the movie. The DD was fading fast and wanted to go after about 40 minutes of the movie. So we took it as a sign. She got to do the sing a long and some popcorn. She had a good time. As the DW drove back, my DD feel asleep in DGF's arms. We got back and she got in her PJs. As a bonus, I did my best Sven voice and asked if she could snuggle with me. Fast asleep, with Sven in her arms.

Tomorrow is going to be a 1/2 MK 1/2 Fort day. If I feel it, I might go to Epcot to hang out there for some entertainment. My DW and I feel like some MK and some Fort which works out for the vacation as a whole. We will see how well it works tomorrow.

Snow Medic, maybe tomorrow! Today got a little longer expected. ;)

Another hint I got the Christmas lights up on the trailer.

Is this your trailer? And if so, I was also until I bought a Toyota.

Nice detective work there snow medic. Yes you found me without the big flashy sign like that guy in the 2000 loop. LOL It was pretty cool to talk with another disboarder this morning. The whole crew was pretty fun to talk to. We did the park until 330 today. We made it back to the fort by 430PM. The DGPs wanted to go shopping around the fort. So I basically didn't get in until 530PM.

Today it was breakfast at the 1900 Park Place. Very good buffet no less. My DD loved meeting Pooh and friends as well as Alice, Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins, After breakfast we took the boat back to MK for a couple of hours.

Today was 2 firsts. DD took her first ride on Space Mountain. She was not tall enough to ride it the last time we were here. She went nuts on the ride. The second is meeting Merida from Brave. Since she was the new princess on the block, she had the long lines. My DW and DD had a ball during that meet and greet.

Now we also got to interact in the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Factory. Unbelievably funny. We had a great time laughing at the jokes. Buzz Lightyear is always a good time for the family rivalry. We got to meet Stitch and Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland.

After Tomorrowland, we had a few minutes and that's went we got to meet Merida. It was not too bad for the meet and greet wait. My DD was doing well with the wait times. Naturally, Merida loved my wife's curly hair and the curls in my daughter's. The cool thing is after the interaction the kids get to shot an arrow at a target and color. Pretty cool in my book.

We got across the park to big thunder railroad. DW and I had a blast on the ride. I forgot it had 3 hills! Afterwards we headed on the railroad or a ride back to Main St. We got there literally at the end of the parade! So we got to see the parade as it was coming down main street. It was awesome for my daughter to watch the parade. We shot over to the meet with Tink which my DW was thrilled. I think she is thinking like a tinker. I am kind of surprised Disney didn't have a Zarina pirate fairy as it would go well with the PotC ride and pirate theme in general.

We got back to the launch by 330 for a trip back to the Fort. We finally made it back to the Fort by 4. Then the DGPs and DA wanted to go out for awhile. We were going to head to the pool but it was things got a bit hectic for a few minutes. As soon as I knew it, we had dinner. Since Frozen was playing tonight at the movie, we all went and got to see the whole thing! Afterwards, we headed out to the beach for the fireworks. The rain pretty much held out for the movie but a light rain was coming down during the fire works. The Disney family was ready to call it a night. The DD hit the bunk pretty much as we walked into the trailer. My DW was next and I am going to be doing this soon myself.

Tomorrow it is off to DHS. There is a sing along in our future.

sirenia88, stopped by to Saturday to say see ya but your truck was gone. It was great talking with you again the other day. We blazed a trail home early Saturday morning and got home today at 10 a.m. Cold in Jersey but didn't see any snow. Have a safe journey home, maybe something can be done to try and get the Disers together sometime.

Safe travels,

Vince, AKA, snowmedic

Thank you for sharing. You have me so excited to watch the movies now. How old Is your daughter? You mentioned she liked Space Mountain and I'm wondering if we should do that this coming trip or not. My daughter was tall enough last year but we passed as our son wasn't at the time. She just turned 6 and my son just turned 4 and now they are the same height (well almost). We did everything last year except Everest and SM and RR. They did fine and really enjoy TM. The dark worries me for them so I just don't know about that.

I'm guess it all depends....either they will love it and want to ride it again or they will be scared for life.

Hello Disboarders!

Well the last 10 days has been pretty much since getting home. I think I might have spent about 5 minutes a day checking the junk mail in my inbox. Add in working until at least 11 every night for work since I got home, makes money for the next vacation where every that might be.

So we are going to call this the wrap up post since the last post from my trip was on November 8th. Better late than never.

First off, it was really fun to mean those I did meet from the dis boards. Maybe a meet and greet in the furture? Who knows.

Sunday November 9th we did DHS. This time around we had a blast. Lunch was at the totally cool Sci Fi Dine in theater. My parents had a pretty retro time with the old B flick trailers playing. The interesting thing is how quiet the place is for a dining environment. People are literally glue to the screen. My mom said she remembered a couple of the trailers. If i ever win the lottery, I think I am going to buy the land for a drive in theater.

Other attractions were Toy story Midway mania. So freakin' fun. I was a kid in a candy shop. The theme of the ride going was something from the 60s or 70s basement with boxes of games and old toys. The actual ride just straight up rocked. I had so much fun playing the games.

The Frozen sing along was pretty much what I would have expected with singing. The whole place sings! The Little Mermaid was fun as well. My daughter was pretty entranced by the effects.

November 10th was Animal Kingdom. We did breakfast at the Tusker House. Always a good choice. My daughter wound up completing her Wilderness Explorer guide for the special scout badge at the end. She was very proud of this accomplished. My wife and I gave very little help with looking for items or the spelling of words. There was a little issue when we lost the book after rafkiki's planet watch. My DW and I somehow lost my DD's book. Not good. We got another book so my DD could complete her WE book. DD and I did Everest Expedition. So fun! We walked the entire park but were beat by 4:30. Back to the Fort some relaxation.

November 11th was another park day. We did some rides at MK but finished up early for some Fort relaxation. Later that day, my DW and I headed to Germany for our anniversary dinner. We got paired up with a family from Northeast PA. We had a good laugh since Oktoberfest just wrapped up in the area. Yet we came to Florida for the food and brew.

November 12th was "free" day in the schedule. So we did MK for a few hours. Snow medic came over and had a great conversation about different things in life.

November 13th was the Christmas party for us. Disney really does a heck of a job with Christmas. Since I am one of the few people I know who can stomach Frozen in large doses, I was probably equally enthralled with my DD when Elsa freezes the castle. When I took a few pictures for Facebook. I found out a friend of mine was on the backside of the castle. He didn't know I was down there. We tried to meet up but not in the card this night. By the time the festivities ended, we had one sleepy DD in our arms. We got back to the trailer at 1 in the morning. I had to be up at 630 for my birthday gifts.

November 14th. It's a fun day as it was the of my birthday gifts. To start off. The morning was to take place on a bass boat. I hadn't been able to go fishing all year. Doing it on a bass boat at Disney on my birthday was awesome. The 2 or so hour trip was so fun and if I was not on some form schedule, I would have bought a couple of more hours on that boat. As I put it a bad of fishing is still better than any day at work unless you are a Disney fishing guide. Weather was overcast. Air temps were in the upper 60s. My guide was using rubber worms. I worked rubber for awhile however, I got some crank bait action going. I managed to catch a couple by the old river country docks including the dock itself. After the fishing excursion, it was some breakfast at TE. Then over to Epcot.

Epcot was part of second gift. Dive Quest in the afternoon. We did a couple of the rides. I guess they finally fixed test track I guess since it was the first time I was able to ride it! In the 4 or 5 times my wife and I have been to Epcot, test track has been down, broken, or would break while I was on the ride. I have ride passes from 2002 for a freebie! While waiting to build a car, I wind up running into my friend in the queque! go figure However, his family is in front of us. So while my DD and I build a car, the announcement goes out saying there is technical issues with the ride. I said great once again just my luck. However, things start moving again. We get on the ride. We start going. The ride stops for technical troubles! I just shook my head. In the end, we actually got to ride! I thought it was pretty cool but my wife told me the ride is different from what it use to be.

We walked around to a few of the other exhibits and interactions before I had to go diving. While walking around, I run into my friend with is family again. This time we hung out and talked about our Disney vacation. At this time, it was time for me for Dive Quest.

Dive Quest is for those who do not know, a behind the scenes tour and dive of the under the seas attraction. I really don't want to give too much away but you see some really neat things that make the place run like the filtration systems, how they make fish food :) and other exciting things. After about an hour tour, you get suited up for the tank.

To participate in the program you need to be certified in at least a basic open water level. However within my group, there were 2 divemasters with various levels in the middle. Since I hadn't dive since I got my cert years ago, I was thrilled to get back in the water. The tank's divemaster and I talked for a couple of minutes while waiting for the dive to start. We had a connection as we both worked for a large telecommunications company up until recently. Stranger was the fact he knew of my manager no less. However, it was enough to take some edge off and break off some dive barnacles.

Into big blue! It was totally....worth it! The tank divemaster took us on a 10 minute tour of the tank then let us loose. We swam around the Coral restaurant for awhile waving at the people. The people just watching us in the tank was pretty cool. I had a blast just chilling out in the tank watching the sharks, the loggerhead turtle, and assorted tank fish swim by. It is amazing how fun it was to dive again.

After about 45 minutes we were out of the tank and our back to the locker room for a nice hot shower. Once everyone takes a shower, the group leader gathers everyone back in the room for our video experience. It was a nice way to the end the dive. Plus every shakes hands before we went our separate ways.

At this time the whole family is beat and back to the fort we go for dinner. Well it turns out I didn't have any old dinner, I had a Trail's End dinner! My parents and wife told the staff it was my birthday. It was quite the scene. They really like using the dinner triangle. it was really an great way to end the day.

November 15th. It was a sadder day not Saturday. ;) To me it was a break down and get ready to go home to reality. Ugh! Before breakfast, my wife and I needed to run out to fuel the truck and get the magic band account settled. Not a fun stuff cause it just drove us closer to leaving. My DD, DW, DA and DGP went over to the park while my dad and I winterized the trailer. he helped me get things in order. It is strange how it takes a couple of days to set things up and in a matter of hours it comes down. Putting the awning is always makes me sad to do but also makes me think about how great things were on vacation.

After getting the trailer into travel mode for Sunday morning, I joined my family in Mk one more time around the park. We came back to enjoy the pool. The pool was nice to swim in. I soaked my bones in the hot tub one more time. At this point the DW and DD were ready to go back to the trailer for showers and food. Good bye pool :(

November 16th. Departure... for NJ. We left in 67 degree weather with sun. By the time we reached the top half of VA it was 43 degrees and cloudy. It was also 1130 at night. It was not where I wanted to be as I wanted to be above Baltimore for the Monday morning commute.

November 17th was home. It was cold, rainy and barely 40 for the 6 and a half hours on the road with traffic. I parked the trailer. Got my parents home. Then went to pick up my daughter from school as a surprise. Reality is a strange familiar land to be in.

In closing, Happy Thanksgiving to all. My wife and I are thinking about vacation planning already. We have to see what 2015 brings. One of the ideas is another trip to the Fort. The other is doing the Caribbean as I had fun Scuba diving and it would be nice to do some while on vacation. Or possible a trip out West like Yellowstone.

I'm guess it all depends....either they will love it and want to ride it again or they will be scared for life.

I gave you a separate posting.

My DD is 6 and change. She is also above height and somewhat daredevil. She likes thrill rides to boot. When we go to the parks, daddy is the one that does the spinning and high G rides with her. As for Space Mountain, it was no problem for her and I. My wife is another story. I know my daughter can get spooked in the dark (then again what kid isn't) However., she was totally fine. Your experiences may vary.

Good luck.

I hate that I missed meeting you since our trips actually overlapped by about 3 days. Glad you had a great time, sounds like you got to do a lot. My fishing was from the bank and I did pretty good while exploring back behind the Trading Post near an old boat dock.

Maybe we'll run into each other next time!

Tiggerdad, Our paths might have crossed for a few minutes at the pool on Saturday. There was a guy there with a gaggle of females. One appeared to be a mother/wife and the others a collection of siblings of various ages. It was around 530ish or so. I think we left around 6 since it was getting dark and my wife was cold.

On the ride back, I said to my wife that I think that might have been the other guy on the disboards who came down on Friday. However, I wanted to make a trip to the 1400 loop to say hi but I got side tracked with packing up for a few hours. That's why snowmedic missed me on Saturday morning. My wife and I got up early. She wanted to head to office to settle up the bill with magic band and I wanted to get fuel for the truck.

Anyhow, maybe next time.

We left out not to early, drove over to the Meadows so the DD's could get there souvenirs from Disney, then went over to 800 loop. Glad you made it home safe. When we came down to Disney we sat in traffic in DC for 2.5 hrs. Well on the way home I was going to take the route we talked about, but changed my mind at the last minute. Went back through DC late at night again and the same south bound traffic was backed up for several miles. I will have to take a different route next year cause that was just to much traffic to sit in.

Glad you made it back home safely, and Happy Holidays. Maybe our time will over lap again next year. Vince

Our daughter is 7, and doesn't like roller coaster type rides. We got her on some of the bigger rides at Universal, so we talked her into going on Everest. She kept her eyes closed and screamed the entire ride, but at the end she said it was fun.
