Sinus Headaches PLEASE HELP!!

Have a CAT scan. If the sinuses are not draining properly, your headaches might be telling you there is an infection.
DH had his sinuses drained via surgery and they found polyps (sp?) that were causing him to have repeated sinus infections and headaches. He was starting to lose his sense of smell and foods were tasting funny. It can be serious so have it checked into further before self medicating.

I feel your pain. I get these quite often myself. I just wanted to suggest that you try heat, instead of ice, and see it that feels better. Heat always helps me. And, rubbing where it hurts. Sometimes my DH will even help me out there. Of course, that only helps as long as your rubbing.

Dh does the same for me, but you are right, it only works while you are rubbing!!

As far as a CT, I don't know if I could do that. I am quite claustrophobic. I had it done once on my knee (if I am thinking of the same thing) and that was bad enough. Am I thinking of an MRI? What is the difference?

I think your thinking of an MRI. An MRI requires you to go into a tunnel like thing. YOur whole body---at least that's how mine were. I also had a cat scan and if I remember correctly (it was a few years ago) they had me lay my chin on something to keep my head still, then took the x-rays. It was no big deal. I say go for it. I dont think it will bother you.

another thing to do is put some hot water in a crockpot to keep it hot. add vicks vapor rub and eucalyptus oil to the water and just keep applying compresses to your face.
