I forget what kind of stroller we have and what the weight limit is. We have rarely used it in the past year. My older son is about 55 lbs and 8yo. My youngest will be 4 next month and is 32 lbs. barely. My older son is saying no way would he get in a stroller at WDW but I think he might change his mind when we get there. I have no idea if the 8yo would even fit in the stroller but, what I am thinking is, can I take the regular stroller to use for the 4yo but also an umbrella stroller so if the 8yo can fit in the regular stroller he can use that and put the 4yo in the umbrella stroller? Then when not in use we can hang the umbrella stroller on the back of the regular stroller. It would really be nice to have a stroller of my own for the resorts and stuff too. So many people are saying about having to carry sleeping kids to the bus at night because you have to give back the rental stroller each day. They are also saying it can be a long walk from the bus to your room at Pop. It would be about 128 dollars to rent a single stroller for 8 days I think. I would love for my 8yo to not need a stroller but I think he will honestly. Just the heat and his asthma might get to him to much. Thanks.

Im not sure if an 8yr old will fit in an umbrella. I would get it out and try pushing him in it before you decide anything.
At those ages you might want to rent a double and not hassle with a stroller.

sorry....didnt read your post clearly. Im tired LOL!! Yes bring your strollers if you older son still fits in the big stroller.

Are there any strollers that would handle the weight of an 8 yr. old? My dd will be 9 when we go and around 65lbs. I am not paying to rent a stroller every day so the game plan right now is to bring a stroller for my younger one (though he will be 6 and around 45lbs. when we go so I don't know what stroller would be good for that either - maybe a Volo?) and the older one will walk. When the younger one isn't in a stroller it can be used to carry our stuff. However, if I could find a sit and stand stroller or even a single stroller that could handle my older dd's size and weight I'd go with that and they could swap turns in it.

I think the weight limit on the volvo is 55lbs.

The Maclaren Techno XLR will hold up to 65 pounds. It steers like a dream when our 5 yo (55 pound) DS sits in it. We have a buggy board that we attach to the back so either the 2 yo or 5 yo can ride and the other one can stand. It still steers very well with both boys on it.

One downside, it is a huge umbrella stroller. It's 44 inches long when folded up. I think it weighs like 17 pounds. But to hold a large child, it has to be big.

We got ours off eBay (previous year's model) at a huge discount.
