Single Rider Lines

Thank you for taking the time to write this! It's really helpful to me. One question, though: what is an "HA line"? I know of FP lines & standby lines but am incredibly curious to find out what the "HA" stands for. Thanks again!
"HA line" is handicap access lines :) (SRL: Single Rider Line, CM: Cast Member)

If I remember correctly, you'll use the exit/HA line on Indiana Jones, and Splash.

So, let me see how much I can remember for each of them. It's been 4 weeks since I was there, so things may have changed :)

Indiana Jones, as I wrote above--ask the CM for your SRL pass, then go in the exit, and follow it inside. When you are in the "circle" room, you'll see a rope blocking the area with a rope. Stop there. The CM will guide you through to another stopping point possibly, then to the right side (usually) of the safety movie room. Then they will guide you to the incline. You'll go up the incline, turn and continue up, then a fence with a gate will be on your left. Show the CM your SRL pass, and they will let you through! You'll go up the elevator, down the walkway, down the elevator. When you get out of the elevator, they will tell you were to go (usually to the line toward the left).

Splash--go all the way to the end of the Critter Country walkway. Make essentially a U-turn to the left, and see a sign that says "Single Rider Line" and stop there. If there's not a line already, I usually just walk in, and follow the exit to the loading zone. You'll go up the stairs to the right, then around the tree, and back down. They will call you from there. Most likely to get the last seat or second to last seat in the log.

Matterhorn--get the SRL pass, then follow the fast pass line. When it's time to show your ticket for the FP, they will point you to the FP line, which will basically put you up to the front line of each side of loading, where they will take you when there's an opening. Originally I was confused and thought they were keeping single riders in the same line as FP'ers the whole time, but it's not; they will separate at the FP thingies. Seats 3 and 7 are the most likely placements.

Grizzly--get the SRL pass, then follow the exit up the stairs, all the way back down. Line is on the right of the stairs when you are going down. (Like, literally, on the right, *ON* the stairs.) No seat is more likely than others for this one, apart from being in the seats next to the openings.

Screamin'--Go in the exit. To the right of the loading area is a "stop line." I think it's red. You'll stop there and wait for a CM to give you the SRL pass. Then they will point you up the elevator, over the walkway, back down the other elevator, and -tada- you're in the SRL. They load FAST, so you have to pay attention or they will pass right over you. This is basically how they do HA for this ride as well. No specific seats.

Goofy's Sky School--I don't remember, as I do it so rarely! No specific seats happen here.

Soarin'--I saw them doing SRL on it for at least a little while last month, but only 1-2 people came through with a pass, so I'm wondering if it was just an oopsie on CM's part. If they do it, you'll follow the FP line to the end of the first check-point, and they will tell you where to go from there. It's never saved me any time; quite the opposite usually, and you get the worst possible seats! (Like the far ends of A and C.)

RSR--follow the SRL sign. It's REALLY well marked. If the line is at the bridge, it will be a 30-45 minute wait in the SRL. You're almost always guaranteed to get the right side (passenger) seats.

In June I gave up on the Single Rider Line for Indian Jones 3 times.

The first time I went down the exit line as far as I could, then met a CM at a rope who checked my Single Rider ticket and then put me in a pen / waiting area the other side of the rope. I waited here 15 minutes and then gave up, as not one single rider ahead of me had been moved along to the next section.

The second and third time I didnt even get as far as the roped of waiting area, the single riders were lining up against the wall, before being moved into the roped off area. Again I waited 15 minutes and just gave up.

All 3 times I didnt even get as far as the safety video. In the end I just did Fast Pass and was through to the safety video in 10 minutes.

I've gone solo quite a bit, so SRL is my friend. The ones that are definitely worth it are:

Indy - usually about 10-15min wait
Splash - could be walk on or I've waited up to 20min before
RSR - if the line reaches the bridge, it will be a 30min wait
Grizzly - always walk-on
CA Screamin' - 10-15min wait
Goofy's - 15-20min wait, depending on how busy it is

I have not done Matterhorn because of my bad back :(
Thank you and all of the others who posted! Sounds like Single Rider is the way to go for those rides for our September trip, except maybe RSR. We aren't doing Matterhorn either.

Wow, thanks for all the great information! I really appreciate it!

Part of the issue is the people in the SINGLE RIDER LINE begging cast members to seat them with their friends who are also in the SRL....

Thankfully I have never seen this, and since it opened we have ONLY used the SR line for RSR.

I've seen people insist they be seated with their kids in the single rider line. But I've never seen a CM give in. On Indy I've seen them send cars off with empty seats before they'll put the 2nd SR in. I've also seen kids cry when they realize they'll be separated, and obviously didn't get it explained ahead of time. I did see a mother and 2 children removed from RSR for refusing to sit next to an SR. The 4th member in their party, who I assume was the husband/father stayed and sat alone and both SRs got to ride in the front. I've also seen parents decide to ride 3 and 1 when they realize SRs will be in the vehicle with them. My sister and I got to ride together that way once. It seems a lot easier than being escorted away by CMs while your kids cry and your husband pretends not to know you...

I had someone on Screamin refuse to move over for me as a Single Rider. It was ridiculous. I couldn't get a CM's attention in time, so she got what she wanted. I had to get out of the line and they assigned me to another car for Single Rider. When I told the CM what happened he didn't seem shocked at all. I'm guessing that happens more than you'd expect.

Wow. I'm always slightly worried that is going to happen, especially on that ride or RSR.

I've had a person refuse to move over on RSR and Indy. On RSR they hadn't put their seatbelt on, a CM came over and said the car wasn't moving until she moved. She did, but then I had to sit next to a very angry woman for the rest of the ride. I think if she had put the seatbelt on, they would have had to let it go because I believe they have to release all of the belts when that happens. On Indy it was a family of 3 and the father grabbed my seatbelt and wouldn't let go, the car actually moved to the CM with a flashlight before I was able to get his attention and tell them I wasn't buckled. Again, I had to ride with angry people, and the continued to make comments to me as we were exiting. I'd estimate I use SR an average of 2-3 times per week, mostly on RSR, Indy and Matterhorn and don't encounter issues that often. Usually it's something like, CM miscounted or a guest doesn't get in the vehicle fast enough and then the counts get off. But there have been a couple of outraged guests that have been memorable.

Wow! I can't believe he held your seatbelt. That's not only rude, but also dangerous. I honestly don't understand people like that. When I'm on a ride I'm not staring at the person next to me, I'm enjoying the ride. :sad2:

What did they say? Why were they mad at YOU? I can't believe the nerve of the guy to hold your seatbelt.

These are...the true stories...of the single rider lines...(Dun dunn dunnnnn)

He complained to the CMs when I was placed in the row with them, but he still put his kid between me and him. He grabbed my seatbelt, and when I tried to show him it was mine he stretched it over the bar and clicked it into his kid's seat. So it was unsafe for me, but also his kid. Then he got upset that I was doing anything I could to get a CM's attention. And then after the ride he just wouldn't let it go and continued hurling personal insults at me. After I got the seatbelt back I never responded to him. Some people are just hotheads. When I worked in a call center, I'd answer the phone and people would start screaming about things like the hold music or that a girl answered the phone and never state their issue, because the thing that they decided to focus on became their issue. I imagine jerks like that go to Disney parks too.

Sadly, I see it every trip, I think. It's not always RSR. It's other rides too. They do SR for the short line, then beg to be seated together. I've started hearing more CMs "nope" them, but I used to see a lot more make it happen.

Your mix of single rider and FastPass will vary based on time of day. Ex: Matterhorn doesn't always allow single rider during the first hour after rope drop, the lines aren't long enough to justify.

Here's what I suggest: use MaxxPass, make wise decisions about which FP to select next, then do single rider lines while waiting for the next FP window to open. Caveat: select FP for Space Mountain early, as the windows for the selected FP get further and further into the future, and you can only select one FP at a time.
