Single Parent Discounts

Just wondered if anyone knows of any of the Florida holiday companies who offer a single parent discount ?

We are looking to go in September. Really annoying when you see free child places but only if 2 adults go.

I don't know of any of the major packages that do this but I'd recommend you book seperate flight and accommodation, that way you pay a £ per night rate whether there are 2 or 4 of you in the room and you only pay for what you need on the aircraft. Thomson, first choice mytravel jmc etc will charge as child prices on flights up to 16 years and virgin, ba etc start charging for adults at 12years old,so this may make a difference, you may have to pay for a taxi transfer at the other end but this shouldn't cost you any more than about $40 to get to kissimmee/Idrive.
there are travelodge type hotels along idrive/kissimmee that start at about £20 per room per night if you're on a budget.

I would also look at priceline and hotwire. I booked all the hotels for a recent trip to Hawaii with them. The hotels were GREAT and at unbelievable prices. Look at a site called betterbidding.com BEFORE bidding or buying as they have researched the hotels these companies use and can ALMOST guarantee which hotel you are buying.

Try Virgin,

In 2003 my sister and neice(10yr) got a 3 wk stay at Quality inn international for a total price of 1042.00 pounds which included flights, accommadation, transfers etc and free insurance.

She booked through thomas cook travel agents - if its not in their brochure get them to call head office, as they had the code there when the staff call. (don't forgot to tell them you want single parent package).

Virgin used to do a couple of hotels who offered discounts to single parents, but I'm not sure if they do any more.
