Hi Everyone

I have not been on here for a long while as marriage brokedown and have not been able to afford to go back to Disney but guess what...I am now going in 2weeks, 14th June, from LGW with Virgin staying at All stars music. for 2 weeks. I actually feel sick with excitement and we have done nothing for the last 6 weekends but watch old disney home movies lol. I do not feel brave enough to drive over there so will be relying on public and disney transport. I have been reading loads the last few months and thought I would see if any of you guys had any specfic advice.

It will be me and my 2 gorgeous DD 15 and 13. I am thinking will have to get taxis to seaworld and Universal and the Florida Mall? I think All stars is nearest to BB. When getting the disney bus to parks do they leave from outside the hotel?

Have only ever been in Sept or Oct so I am thinking the parks will be horrendously busy, any other thoughts on peole who have been in June before?

I have made lots of PS rest bookings on line, fantastic!

Any help or advice really welcome, I am really excited but also quite anxious about getting to places

Thanks Nicky

Sorry to hear of your marriage breakdown but glad you're feeling better & are going to Disney. I'm sure it will do you & your girls the world of good.
I have stayed at All Star Movies & we got our park buses straight outside the main part of the hotel, we used to cut through the food court & fill our mugs with water on the way. We get a taxi to US/IOA but have been reading on a previous post about how good the buses are, so we intend to try the buses for SW & Florida Mall. You can get the bus at T&TC & DD for SW it's the number 50 & for FM I think it's number 11. Hopefully, Kath will confirm this. It will save you a lot in taxi fares.

Hi, we came back last week :sad1: and for this trip we didn't hire a car for the whole holiday (as we knew we were spending most days at Disney).

We did a mixture of disney buses, taxis and occasional car hire. From the Pop we took taxis to Seaworld, Premium Outlets and Walmart all were roughly around the $20 mark, Seaworld might have been a bit more. They were easily available from the front of the hotel. Disney buses also leave from the front of your hotel :)

The Lynx buses run from DTD, but take care if it is really hot as there is no bus shelter or shade as you stand at the bus stop.

We visited recently and didn't take a car.

We were absolutely fine relying on the Disney buses which are fabulous. We took a taxi to and from the Premium Outlets and got a Mears transfer to Universal.

We won't be hiring a car for our next trip, you'll definitely be fine without one. :)

(Have you booked the Magical Express to get you to ASMu from the Airport?)

Thanks again. Sorry for by ignorance been such a long time I have forgot what does T&TC stand for?

I booked with Virgin so they have arranged for mears to collect from the airport!

Is a mears transfer to Universal going to be cheaper than a taxi and where would I get one of those from?

Re-fillable mugs how does that work?

I wanted to take the girls for a meal to Golden Corral after our day at seaworld, I cannot remember how far up I drive it is, is it walkable?

Also I seem to remember that there is a big Walmart near Florida Mall, again is that walkable?

You guys are so friendly I love it on here :)

Thanks again ;)

You can buy the re fillable mugs at your resort for approx $15 & use them during your stay. You get them from the food court with a choice of cold fizzy dinks, water, tea coffee & chocolate.

Thanks Sharon

Do you then pay a subsidised price for refills in the parks??? Sorry for being dim lol!

No, not valid in the parks. You can get one in the waterparks, after the first visit you buy a reduced price tag per visit. Valid at TL & BB. We used ours a lot at ALL Stars but not so much at the CBR as this was quite big & we didn't pass the food court on our way to the bus.
