Single moms?

I was 35....I thought about adoption but being that I was adopted I really really wanted a part of me to be in my child....

Another single mom here from FL. Have a DD that just turned 11. Her dad and I were planning on getting married when I got pregnant. That's when he decided he wanted to date other people. He was in and out of our lives for six years, and haven't heard from him at all for the past 5 years. It's hard at times, but DD is my number one priority. I also realize I am so much happier and better without him.

You are better off! I am in the divorce process now. I have to force my kids to talk to their dad on the phone. But I don't wat him fighting for joint custody. That's their way of getting out of paying child support. I work in the field so I know. We are so much happier without him. My kids are thriving.

Also any of you single moms that wanna pm me please do. I always love getting new friends. Also I need tips on how you save up for vacations on one income.

I am not a single mom, but I teach and have met many single moms. YOU ARE MY HEROS! What you do for your children and yourselves are amazing to me. I am so sorry some of you are going through hard times, but I just wanted to let you know that there are many women out there who support you!

SageFemme, take time to be YOU and the mom of your child. Wanting to be in a relationship and being a whole person in a relationship are two different things.

Once you understand who you are without the identity of someone's woman, wife, whatever, your confidence will attract the right person and it will be on concrete and not sinking sad.

You are WAAAAY too beautiful to be lamenting. Life is not based on the now, it's based on the steps we take to become someone worth teaching others how to be as happy and complete as you can be.

I'm trying to bring this thread back to life. My husband of five years just up and left me and our 14 month old son. It's pretty much a shock to me. It'd be nice to have some other single moms to chat with so come back to this thread!!!
