Hi All
I am a 33guy coming over to Orlando and Disney for the christmas week and New Year, why? well i am weird thats why! No seriously being single i often travel alone and as a theme park enthusiast and a Rollercoaster fan where better to go at holiday time. Also another main reason for trip is i am visiting a good friend from home (UK) who is working in Epcot for 2years. So i will be spending a couple of days with him when hes got time off work.
Getting concerned (well more anxious) that a lone adult male holidaying in Disneyworld without family or kids is just be treated weird and how people will react, espiecally as its christmas time. I know i have checked-in to hotels across the world alone and often get some "looks" or "whys a bloke here, its a kids/family place" which are never nice, but hey cant a guy have fun too? How much of this will i get at Disney over this christmas? I am staying at "All-Star-Movies" as its a budget trip, and i understand that place is very family etc and i may feel out of place a lot. Tbh its a sad time when a lone bloke cant have fun because they dont presently conform to the normality of family life isnt it?
And most importantly any other lone travellers or New Years Eve revellers (guys or gals) want a meetup or a drink watching the fireworks give me a shout, as i know my staff friend is def working NYE so i shall be in either MK or Epcot wondering about NYE (well attempting to with the crowds ofc)
Any groups or familes want meet thats cool too. Be nice to at least say "Happy New Year" to somebody at Midnight
And what a great forum, wish i had found a bit sooner, not just 2 days before i fly out! Doh
