Single day ticket price & where to stay

Planning to go to US or IOA ( can't decide which yet) for one day after disney cruisein Oct. We have 4 adults & 3 kids (9,9,&4) Where is the best (cheapest) place to get tickets & any recommendations on where to stay without spending a fortune.

There really aren't any deals on single day tickets.
If you know a season pass holder, they can get you 10% off, but they'd have to be standing with you at the window. Not sure if AAA has anything for 1 day.
Where to stay? I assume you need two rooms. I like the www.hojo.com at 7050 Kirkman Rd. It's 5 minutes down the street ($50 a night). Radisson and Holiday Inn are across from the parking garage, but cost a little bit more (about $90). And from there you go onsite which is $150+ depending on your deal.

If available using the Entertainment card you could get a rate of $99 at the RPH and stay onsite.
