I havent been on here for a long time as my wife Susan had a life-threatening illness and we have only just come out from under a very dark cloud. Our lives have been on hold for so long and we missed our annual halloween trip last year.

To celebrate her recovery I asked her where in the world she wanted to go for a short break and she chose ... Paris !

We've booked for a week in a very posh hotel near Gare Du Nord and she wants to spend a day in the parks (no prompting from me - honest !) in two weeks time.

Apart from Tower of Terror is there anything new we missed over the last two years and we should look out for ?

BTW It's good to be back :cool1:

Its always good to get some positive news when someone has been battling illness - you must be looking forward to some good times ahead.

Well Crushes Coaster and Cars Race Rally and the new themed Toon Town area in Disney Studios. The parade has stopped and at the moment it is High School Musical (Parade back in September).

I can't think of anything new in the main park other than the 15th birthday celebrations so the Disney Character Express and Candleabration are 2 parts of that.

Thanks for the reply ruthie - yes, I feel like we got a second chance and can now look forwards.

Bad news about the parade (not sure HSM is our thing), but the Toon Studios sound good. Any changes to the layout at the Village ? To be honest, I cant wait to go back, and I think Sue does too ;)

Hello Torchy, I can't think of a nicer way to celebrate your wife's recovery to good health. :goodvibes
What's new ?
There's a mini Mary Poppins show around the bandstand and a Sleeping Beauty one around by the castle not sure of the times of those. Auberge de Cendrillon now has a Prince and Princess character meal, haven't tried it myself, but it always gets good reviews. The new Once Upon a Dream parade is fabulous as is the Candelabration show in the evening, definately worth catching both of those.
The main changes though are in the Studios with the new attractions mentioned above, the recently opened Stitch Live interactive show in place of the dire TV studios tour and the Rendez Vous des Stars restaurant has had a Ratatouille overhaul.

Hope you have a wonderful visit.:)

Lovely to 'see' you again and :grouphug: for you and Susan. It's wonderful news to hear of someone recovering. :goodvibes

Can't think of a better way to celebrate than a holiday in Paris with a day at Disney. :wizard:

Excellent links, and thanks for the good wishes - this place is still brilliant :goodvibes . It seems nearly all my weblinks are dead or have moved so need to redo them all.

Can't wait to go now, and really looking forward to Halloween this year :thumbsup2
