We stayed at AllStar Music in the Jazz section for 6 nights last week. We arrived about 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon -- check in was smooth, but that was about it from there. Our room was not ready, with our son's porta crib. So we waited an hour and about 11:00 pm had to call the front desk before it arrived. I had to put it together, and they only gave us a only a fitted sheet. No Blanket was given, so I had to call front desk again.

Then 2 days later my son got sick, and it was all over the top of the comforter. This happened about 1:00 am So I threw everything in the bath tub. Next morning, we went off to Magic Kingdom, and didn't get home until 10:30 pm from Epcot. We were tired, so I lay down on the bed and find myself laying in dried vomit. The great cleaning staff took the comforter, and put it back on the bed. I couldn't believe it, because it was no small spot. They had to put there hand in it too where the crease in the comforter is, just before the pillow. I was furious! Called and first joker just said we will change it. So I called again, and they said they were sorry, and would discount us a night. But in my eyes, that still doesn't cut it. So I am contecting there corperate offices today. But I want others to know how poor our service was.

Unfortunately things didn't stop with 1 or 2 issues. They finally came to change my son's comforter, but they didn't have a clean one in the whole place. The maid, said it would be the next day. The rest of the time, we never saw one appear. They also didn't clean the sinks very well either. Every request, except towels took 45 mins atleast.

Also don't forget your kids Motrin, like me. There great gift shop charged me $8 for a very small bottle. They don't even take pity on kids being sick! What a resort! Atleast at the motel 6 I would have got clean sheets.

So this will be the last time I ever stay at All star Music, and maybe Disney resorts for that matter. Because it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

i had stayed in the country section. we requested a crib, and it wasn't there. we called and they brought it right over, maybe 10 mins. they didn't give us a fitted sheet, we brought our own anyways. but they did give us 2 blankets. every night when we got back to the room, our bed was clean and made as well as the crib. sorry to hear about your service. it was my first time staying in a value and i would again.

Have to agree with you we have had too many bad experiences at the AS resorts. Between the kids groups that seem to overrun these resorts everytime we are there to the disgusting housekeeping job done in the bathroom at one stay. We vowed never to stay at the values again.

Have to say we have had the best experiences at the POFQ, POR, CSR, AKL and WL. THe cm's there could not have been nicer and the housekeeping staff quick and efficient.

I am sorry you had a bad experience and I would definitely convey them to the Guest communications office.

Sounds like you had a rough time.

Usually most infants in a crib wouldn't use a blanket. I'm not surprised they didn't give you one.

Did you tell the front desk you needed a new comforter? Throwing it in the tub is not the universal symbol for "this thing has been puked on."

Welcome to resort prices

We love the All Star Resorts but we've never had a bad experience. Sorry you had one. Maybe a note left to explain why the comforter was in the bath tub would have helped? I agree with you that if there was that much puke on it, no way they could have missed it but sometimes it's just easier to go ahead explain things than to assume. ::yes::

I can certainly sympathize with you. I have friends who love the AS Resorts. I have stayed once and did not have a good experience either. We stayed at the AS Movies. Check in took about an hour and a half. We requested a king bed because my husband is very tall. We got two doubles. We were at the very end of the hotel (east Egypt), far away from everything. I was pregnant to top it off and there were rowdy teenagers everywhere. When I booked this hotel, is was $49/night with AP. They could give it to me for $10/night and I still wouldn't stay there. I have 7 nights booked at WL for February. I hope it is better, because if not, I probably won't stay with Disney anymore.

Sorry to hear that housekeeping didn't catch the comforter. They did offer to give you a free night. I don't know how much more they can do for you.

I hurt my back one time in a hotel and the gift shop charged $2 for two Motrin. It isn't just Disney that overcharges on stuff like that.

You sure didn't have a terrific experience, did you? I'm really sorry. We stayed in Jazz last Dec and I have to say that it was one of the best visits we've had. Our room was terrific, the mousekeeping was great...never had an issue. My dd, 11, also got sick while we were there. Yes, the gift shop sure is expensive! But you'll find that to be the case wherever you go in a resort type setting. My dh always laughs at what I pack each time, but we seldom have to run out and buy something!!!

Our check-in was the best we've had with the exception of BWVs. Quick, efficient and super friendly!!! We even enjoyed the food court!! I think I would have left the comforter on the bathroom floor with a note on it letting them know it had vomit on it. They couldn't have missed that!

Once again...sorry you had such a bad experience. Hopefully your next stay at WDW will be much better for you.

I guess a call or note about the comforter would have helped, but it seems to me that a comforter that's laying in the bathtub probably shouldn't have been put back in the bed in the first place! ;) That's pretty weird. I think I'll take my sleeping bag next time.

Just to add I did call the front desk to let them know. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. You don't put a comforter balled up in a tub, with towels that have vomit on it back on the bed.

I will say that I would hope that anything that is in my bathtub would not end up back on my bed. YUCK.
I don't think a note would be needed.
Hopefully you will give another resort a try. Better luck in the future.

When I want sheets or a comforter changed I simply soak them with water first and then put them in the bath tub.

Seems to work everytime.

All in all we liked ASMusic, but this paost did remind me of a couple of minor incidents. When we checked in there was phlegm or something l ike it on the TV remote <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZSzeb028' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_6.gif' border=0></a> <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZSzeb028' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_119.gif' border=0></a>. Mousekeeping was there with a new one within a few minutes. Also (no big deal here, but kind of wierd) one of the beds had a comforter from AS Sports.

Meh! If you want results and snappy happy service, you might want to think about how you address the staff. The bigger the attitude you give the staff, the less you can expect from them. The nicer you are, the more willing people are to help you. You should consider yourself lucky to have been reimbursed for a night. Corporations are not in the habit of giving away such things for free.

Maybe I am very wrong, but I really thought that putting towels, etc. in the bathtub did mean that they were dirty and needed to be removed. I read this (I think I did) somewhere and for years now, I have been putting everything in the bathtub as we leave the room for the day or for good! Someone please tell me, is this another one of my "mini-pause" side effects or does one put dirty items in the bathtub?

Anyway, sorry for the problems. It is sad for things to go so wrong on vacation.

The last hotel I stayed in there was a card that said that if we wanted fresh towells to leave them on the bathroom floor. So yes I think that it is a sign (bathroom floor or tub) that you would like fresh linens!

Absolutely correct!!! They tell you this same thing in WDW. If you need clean towels put the used ones in the tub. You would think that a comforter in the tub would get the same results!! No, a note shouldn't have been needed but it sure couldn't hurt. Have to say I would have been more than a little irate if the same comforter had been put back on my bed!!!

First I want to say that this is in no way trying to infringe upon the OP. I just wanted to add my experience to let everyone know that it really really depends on the CMS, time of the year, phases of the moon, etc. etc. We stayed at ASMO a number of years ago and son was sick in the middle of the night. We called down to housekeeping. They came within 5 minutes, changed the bed, and pulled a brand new comforter out of it's plastic bag. The next morning they called us to see how our son was. I was so impressed! Another time we stayed at one of Disney deluxe resorts (I'm not saying which because I would hate to have anyone base their stay on my one experience), my son was sick again and we had terrible service. Really bad, I was so upset. I'm just trying to say that this kind of stuff can happen anywhere. It's too bad because when someone has a bad experience like this it really gives them a bad feeling for that resort when, in fact, it could be the CM who they talked to at that time. I wish ALL Disney CMS could have that famous "Disney Magic", but it just isn't so.

I am so sorry that your little one was sick. Not a fun way to spend a vacation.

I also had a sick one at the all stars a couple years ago. We called in the middle of the night and the wonderful CM opened the gift shop and brought the tylonal to our room. It was so nice of them! The next day DS got a small Mickey delivered to the room saying they hoped he was better. They knew we were not at the parks, but in the room with a fever.

I wish you had the kind of service we had, don't completely give up on the values, most CM's do want to do whatever they can to make your stay a good one.:teeth:
