Wow! So many to chose from! Thanks! I know that I'll find something that will work. :goodvibes

"Love" from Robin Hood is a great song! So pretty. "The Phony King of England" is great, too.

Oh I hate finding audition songs (exactly why I love that they give us the songs for the musicals at our high school).

Try to avoid really popular ones. For example, this isn't Disney, but a lot of girls use songs from the musical Wicked for an audition. Most of the songs are ideal for auditions, but some are overused, like Popular. Sorry that I couldn't come up with a Disney example...But you get what I mean, right? I'm always having trouble finding audition songs, so thanks for starting this thread! :thumbsup2 I can't think of any that haven't been mentioned, but I'll keep you posted!

Hmmm...I haven't seen that show in FOREVER! I'll have to listen for those, though.

Yeah. I know watcha mean. But I'm only 13 and going into 8th grade and we dont have theater in our junior high. So...I have to do community stuff.

Thanks for the help! And I totally understand what your saying. AT one audition I went to, 7 out of 20 people all sung Consider Yourself from Oliver. And another 5 sung Tomorrow from Annie. I sung Part of Your World, and although it IS popular, my director hadn't heard it in a while and liked it.

If you don't mind me saying, I feel sorry for you. Theatre in middle school was pretty awesome. Although, we didn't have to find our own audition stuff. The theatre teacher/director assigned us stuff. I don't know how it will be in my high school though. I'm going into ninth :scared: so, it'll make a ton of difference.

You can always try "I won't say I'm in Love" from Hercules. You can sing it as a duet (if necessary), but it's simple enough to do both parts yourself. I plan on doing it for my next audition.

Yeah...that's what I've heard. But I know that our high school productions always turn out GREAT!

Yeah...but Meg is just a little to belty for my voice. You know what I mean. She goes really really low. I'm more of a medium alto. I can sometimes go second soprano.

If I try out for anything this year now I know what song to use, because my voice is kind of low like hers. This is a good thread!

I like this thread a lot.. I have read it & I really enjoyed reading it ..!!
