Sorry, couldn't resist...it's Christmas after all. :santa: Just wanted to give a quick trip report from our first night in the parks.

Went to Epcot last night. Arrived right around 4:15pm. Stopped for pictures at the front entrance. First FP+ was for SE, so we didn't have to walk far into the park. Standby line was posted as 20 minutes, but we could see from the line that in reality it was no more than 10 minutes. OK...weird...but we figured maybe the crowd was back in the rest of Future World. Nope. Maybe they were in the World Showcase, but we didn't go back there. Future World was as light of a crowd as we've seen in a long time. Spent time in World of Coke after getting off SE. Next was TT at 5:15pm. FP+ line was out the door and we thought "OK, here we go". Nope. Just a weird way they were loading people, but we were on and off the ride quickly. We then ate dinner at the Electric Umbrella. We pack our food, so we didn't order from inside. We sat at one of the tables outside, as it was a beautiful night. We ate dinner at 6pm, prime time dinner hour. I kid you not, there were only 4 other families sitting in the outside tables when we were there...and they have maybe 50 tables set up out there. It was empty. We had SE FP+ after dinner. Green side was a straight walk on, orange was maybe 5 minute wait. We then walked to the Land area and rode Nemo. As we were walking through the queue, you can see the loading area. Empty clamshell after empty clamshell rolled by as we walked. The CMs were just waiting for people to show up to ride. We were debating to wait in line for Soarin'...it was posted at 50 minutes, don't know how long it truly was as you can't really see it. We decided we were tired and wanted to call it a night (we had a very long drive down the night before). We walked out of Epcot around 8:00pm roughly. As we walked out, SE was empty, as was the general area.

I'm not at all implying I expect the rest of trip to be like this. We know better. It's the busiest week of the year. It's going to be packed at times. However, just wanted to report that even during Xmas, not every park is crammed to the limit all the time. Honestly, Epcot Future World was emptier than an average summer evening. It was sort of weird.

Nice. We had a day like that at Epcot last week. Then like dummies halfway thru the day we left the park and took the monorail over to MK which was totally jammed. Lesson learned; when you got a good thing going stick with it.

Epcot was really quiet last night. Nemo posted 10 minute wait when we went thru it but didn't stop walking. Spaceship Earth was only 10 minutes too on my way out at 7. MK was super slow this morning. EMH from 7am - 10am there were very low waits including only 55 minutes for 7 Dwarfs. I did everything I wanted with only 1 fastpass needed for Peter Pan (55 minutes). Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Pooh, Buzz walk on!

Happy to hear you are enjoying your trip!! We arrive right after Christmas. We know what to expect since this will be our tenth Christmas trip. Hope the "lighter" crowds hold but like you I know it won't happen. Anyway....

Enjoy The Magic!!!!
