can you book a room only online at WDW, even with the 5 dya cancellation policy?

I've been booking room only ressies online since at least 2004, because that was the year I moved to Florida and we went a lot! I hate calling on the phone, so I pretty much always book online. I don't recall doing packages at that time, and I know at some point we got Florida resident tix, so I think I was doing room only.

I've always gone online to check prices but I never remember them requiring the one night deposit. Thought it was $200 and the 45 day cancellation like a package.

It's possible you're right and I'm wrong - we did a bunch of short trips between 2004-2006 (lived an hour away!), it's all sort of a Disney blur!

Living so close and going so much I've booked lots of our room only stays under the FL Res section of the website and it's always been the one night deposit with the 5 day cancellation - but then I'm also usually using the section showing the FL Res room only "specials" and going in the website that way, so maybe that made a difference?
