Since when did Sci-Fi take fries off rib entree?

I cant believe they took off the fries from the rib entree. it just says on the menu off disneyworld.com that it comes with coleslaw and choice of baked beans or bean relish. When did this happen? i woudnt get the ribs w/o having the fries.. i doubt they'd let you sub the coleslaw for fries. other entrees still have fries.. anyone know why they did this?

You might try asking for fries. Disney's getting notorious for trying to "encourage" guests to eat "healthier" and one of the tricks they use is to leave the items they deem unhealthy off the menus without making it known that you can ask for them. On the other hand if you don't want to eat that dish without the fries and want to be sure, you have two choices: 1) pick a backup order or 2) don't eat there unless someone reports that you can get fries if you ask.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and ordered the ribs with fries as a sub for both the coleslaw and beans. I don't eat coleslaw and wan't interested in the beans. I think my waiter even asked if I'd like to sub the fries before I even asked him.

So, don't worry. It shouldn't be a problem.

thanks! i dont want to pay extra for the fries, it's just that they do add to the meal. quite boring w/o the fries i'd imagine.

We went this past January and the fries were gone. I didn't even think to ask for them--but I wish I would have. The beans were hard and the slaw had no flavor. I hope you can get them!

The black bean relish is pretty good, in a spicy/latin healthy way.
Fries are available, and no extra charge as of a couple weeks ago.

just ask for fries. everything at the sci fi is overpriced anyway, so another couple of bucks for fries would be a bout par for the course.
