Which resort has a better (or more kid friendly) pool?

POR, CR, WL, or AKL?

Depends on the age of your kids - I like AKL's pool the best of the ones you listed. You have zero-entry for the young ones, lots of space,a decent slide & a beautiful hot tub in a somewhat secluded spot for us adults.....

POR pool was pretty nice too, from what I remember from visiting it in 1998 when my step-son & his wife stayed there.

depends on your kids ages and skill level.

I can only speak for 2 resorts on your list.

CR - 3.5 feet at shallowest point. Not good for kids who don't know how to swim. Great for the pre-teen set who can swim fairly well but are not experts. (Experts would probably want a more exciting pool.)

WL - has a kiddie pool next to the main pool. Great for little kids who can't swim as well as pre-teens. The slide may look "lame", but it is very fast ;) and it goes through a tunnel which may scare some kids. I love these pools, they are my fav. Besides the main pool, the quiet pool is lovely and was never busy during our stay.

Does the Contemporary have a kiddie pool?

YC/BC.

One pool is only 2' deep with lots of sand to play in.

Really, SAB has something for all age children.

My kids loved the pools at POR and POFQ. We also saw the pool at WL because we caught a Wishes Cruise from there and while we were waiting we went over to watch the "geyer" and it seemed really nice too. It's a pool though my kids love any pool really, fancy or not, long as it's not too cold and it has water
