hopefully Disney will . It's time to shut the parks down again . Not what I want . Not what Disney wants . Not what anyone wants , but , due to current circumstances it is the right thing to do . Do it now before a cast member gets COVID or a guest . God forbid someone gets it there and they'll have a bigger problem trying to get people to return anytime soon . With more and more stringent measures being implemented (what seems like every other day recently) and with the delayed reopening dates announced for several resorts it is clear things are spiraling out of their control . I commend them for their efforts to make it work but I thought they should have remained closed like Disneyland and unfortunately I think they need to shut things down again . The state of Florida is in trouble and places like theme parks should not be open at this time .

I think we could see certain parks not opening 7 days a week as a temporary fix to try to limit CM exposure

I definitely feel that Disney should have never opened in the first place.

are there any reports of CM getting sick?

Is there any suggestion whatsoever that the opening of the parks is the cause of the spike in Florida?

Have you been since they reopened? It’s safer to go to Disney imo than a Costco right now. A majority of time you are at the parks you are outdoors and a good distance from other people. Obviously you can catch it anywhere but there will never be a perfect time to reopen anything. We can’t keep businesses locked down indefinitely. At some point we have to move on and just do the best we can. It’s not ideal but we would be a year away at best before a majority of the population has a vaccine. It’s up to the individual to be smart, safe and do what’s best from themselves.

This is a conversation better suited for the Community Board. And also as a reminder, politics are not allowed on DISBoards. Closing.
