Today at the mall, thre foam handle on my Quest ripped! :-( I'm pretty upset as the stroller is less than 4 months old.

Customer service was closed by the time I got home, but has this happened to anyone??? Is it a replacable part? I'm going to try again tomorrow, but hoping to hear that it is easilyfixable (at first glance, it seems like pretty permanent damage!)

I'm guessing that you would need to send the stroller in to get that replaced, because it is glued to the handle. As long as you didn't catch it on anything sharp, it should be covered by the warranty, but it may take 6 wks or so to ship it in and get it back.

However, you can fix it yourself as long as you didn't remove the piece that tore. I know this from experience, as DH tore the foam on our stroller handle the first time he stored it in the trunk of the car -- he caught it in the trunk hinge when he closed it, about two hours after taking the stroller out of the box.

Get some quick-set glue that is specifically made to adhere to polyethylene foam, then very gently smooth the foam toward the tear until the glue-covered torn edges meet. (Also put a little glue on the handle directly beneath the tear line.) Gently hold it together until it initially sets (a clamp will crush the foam and leave a permanent dent) and then, without moving it much, leave it to completely set overnight in a cool, dry location. If you apply the glue very neatly and wipe off any excess with a cloth before it sets, the repair will be nearly unnoticable.

You are probably better off reparing it on your own as the PP said. I doubt it will be covered by the warranty, and you'll be out of a stroller while it's being repaired.
