I doubt it. The Frozen Sing-Along show now resides in the building that AIE occupied, and I can't see Disney giving Frozen the boot to bring back a show that didn't exactly pack them to the rafters. I also can't think of anywhere they'd put AIE since a good portion of DHS is under construction.

I agree. I'm actually surprised the show is being revived. It was a unique and fun show when it debuted but they should have stopped after the first couple of seasons.

I don't think it will come back but I've heard they'll be doing some of it at Disney world. They could easily cut production prices by moving hollywood week to WDW and using the backstage stage at Epcot to do the competiton filming. Add in some cuts of contestants out enjoying WDW in their "spare" time and it becomes a commercial for the parks.

I enjoyed the American Idol experience show at DHS,especially if they had 4-5 singers,more chance of somebody good or interesting,same with the finale where they're basically going for best of the day and the skip to the front of the line ticket of an audition.As far as a new attraction going in,I would put it in the unlikely but you never know category.However since auditions are going to be done at WDW there will be something Idol going on.

I had read part was at WDW and DL but was theorizing that they could really leverage their own property. I don't know whats at DL but I know WDW has a lot of rooms, conference centers, and even performance stages.

It has been a couple year so my memory is fuzzy. It is either between Germany and Italy or Italy and American or between all 3. It is the same spot groups have their musical classes for Disney education and there is another set up for candlelight processional rehearsals.

Oh, OK, I know what you're referring to. It's between Italy and Germany. It's a rehearsal area for Festival Disney, but it would be a challenge to do a production with an audience. What they've been doing is erecting a large tent type building whenever they need it and using that instead. But you're right, there are plenty of large suitable venues all over WDW.

Oh I wasn't thinking any audience part. Hollywood week was usually before the final live show contestants were chosen. They could hold the others somewhere and just have the judges and current act on that stage. It isn't as WOW as the stage they used in Hollywood but would work.

That being the case, the Sunset Showcase is probably big enough. It's siting there unused most of the time.

I see two large soundstage like buildings but they're behind China and Norway.In any case its WDW,there's no shortage of places to set this up.ESPN WWoS has more than enough buildings to hold massive crowds,there's buildings in DHS,convention areas,etc...

Most of those are offices and then the cast buildings. Like you said though no shortage at WDW.

For anyone interested, the large building behind Norway is Cast Services. An interesting tidbit is if you zoom in on the grassy area in front, you'll see a small, simplified version of Spaceship Earth. The other large building houses various Epcot support services.

There are no large unused buildings at Epcot, except as Yulilin 3 posted, the World Showplace. Although it's large enough, and most people don't realize it, but it's used a lot by Park Event Ops for large special events throughout most the year.

ETA, there is the Wonders building, but it's also used for special and private events and it's in bad shape. It's probably going to disappear as part of the Epcot makeover.

This. IMO once Simon Cowell left, the show went downhill.

They are doing all the auditions at WDW, instead of going around from city to city like in years past. The actual show will be in LA, like it has always been, though.
