ok..for some reason, i was having a heck of a time getting the rejuvenator to run in my game. i don't know what my problem was...but i did find an alternate. there is an "expresso" machine that does the same thing! i have it in my game now and it seems to work alright...i've been reading a bit on the sims bulletin boards that the rejuvenator has been causing some problems in the game...so i thought i'd try this new machine...

i've been able to add my unleashed now. but i still can't add hot date. it keeps telling me that it's "not a valid version". of course it's a valid version! i bought it at best buy soon after it came out! i've used many times before and i've never had a problem with it until now! ugh...

There is a Hot Date patch that EA created. If installing the patch doesn't help, I'd contact EA about your problems. If your version doesn't come up as 'valid', then they should supply you with another.

olena -- i was looking for patches on the sims site the other day and couldn't find any. can you point me in the right direction?

A expresso machine does the same things as rejuvenator? That would be great, because my Sims keep making the rejuvenator leak or break down. I had to have multiple ones in the house.

There is also a object called a Teleporter, that will instantly bring in neighbors. It is kind of "Star Treky"!!!!!!!!


Put lots of balloons outside your front yard and buy a birthday cake. Your Sims neighbors will show up for the party.

i am so sorry you guys...i just now saw the request for the expresso machine!!! the link that olena posted is where i got mine from. it's worked so far for me! i'm trying to figure out a way to get some on my downtown lots now...but i'm not sure if it can be done! if anyone figures it out, let me know!!

I usually play one family and I build a few houses with like 6 people living in them to be my friends. None of them have jobs, so whenever I need to boost up my social skills or gain a new friend I just call on one of them

Here's a hint for the rosebud cheat. If you need a lot of money at one time bring up the cheat window and enter "rosebud" then bring up the cheat menu again and type in !;!;! (keep doing this for as long as you want...I find the easiest way is to copy it and then just hold down control V to paste it a bunch of times) The ! repeats the last cheat and the ; seperates cheat commands so by doing this you will get thousands of dollars at one time. It's sooooo much better than having to keep entering rosebud a million times

No problem on the machine. it works very well. I would also like to be able to install it in Downtown or Studio Town. I haven't been able to.

Just another question. I downloaded a Working Baby Crib. Supposedly, it's a crib you can buy that comes with a baby. No more waiting for one Sim to ask another, etc. I installed it in my Objects folder under Game Data. I can't find it in the game. Anybody have any experience with it? Did I misplace it?

I've downloaded some objects before that haven't shown up. I usually just go back and make sure I put it in the right place. If that doesn't work then chances are it's usually a bad file.

i get very confused when it comes to downloading something to use in my game! i usually make DH do it for me! i know that i couldn't get the expresso machine to work in my game at first. DH went in and created a folder for it in the "downloads" section of my sims files and then made sure the object was in the folder. it then appeared in my game!

Hello, my name is Yvonne and I'm a Sims-aholic!!

I LOVE playing the Sims and have the deluxe version, also Unleashed and I just got Hot Date a couple weeks ago. I play every chance I get, even on vacation. I have several houses and usually choose a different one each time I play. I love to build new houses and furnish them, and I LOVE the rosebud cheat code so I can get lots of money to buy stuff!!

I hate it when a pet dies though!! One of my Sims had a cat and for some reason he stopped eating, even though the bowl was full, and he wouldn't sleep, eventually he curled up in a ball on the bathroom floor and died!! I almost cried!! There was no option to "take cat to vet" so I didn't know what to do!! Has anyone else had a pet die??

I think I might want to get the Vacation one next, that looks like fun too!!
