Simpsons's ride 1 Millionth rider

Universal Orlando announced today that its new The Simpsons Ride reached the 1 million rider mark, faster than any other attraction in the resort's history.

The millionth rider, Dion Fenderson, was on vacation in Orlando from the Detroit suburb of Eastpointe with his wife, LaTika, and two sons, Dion, 11 and Dylan 6. They are shown at left with costumed The Simpsons characters outside the ride at Universal Studios.

Fenderson became the 1 millionth rider Monday night. The ride officially opened May 15, meaning Fenderson and one million other people piled onto the simulated roller coaster adventure through Krustyland in two month's time.

Nice that so many can ride it.

We rode it out in Hollywood, 4 times.

So that's what was going on Monday evening when we walked by. That area was a zoo with everyone stopping to look at the stage/characters, but that is really neat.

That's what I'm wondering too! They should get lifetime passes or something, at least APs for a year.
