Simpsons/Forbidden Journey updates ever happen?

After our last trip to Universal (2014) it was rumored that both the Simpsons and Forbidden Journey were getting projector upgrades. Simpsons needed something done since the image was so dim, same issue with FB, but not nearly as bad. While I saw what looked like official acknowledgments, I never was able to find any follow-up info.

When did that happen? I don't recall hearing that- in fact, I believe it was early 2013 for FJ.

If I'm not mistaken, the motion blur is intentional to reduce sickness on the ride (both Simpsons and FJ). We won't see them being Kong quality.

Simpsons was March of this year it was all completed is what I had read.

From what I can find, there were new projectors in mid 2014 on FJ and lighting was also adjusted Makes sense that they wouldn't be upgrading FJ projectors again soon if the 3D is still going to happen.

Gah, oh please no. Evil evil evil ride at USH b/c of the 3D. I can get through FJ in Orlando most of the time without turning green, but I was so unwell after it at Hollywood. Bleah.

Even my 12 year old didn't like the 3D!

Ooh, not my experience recently! We thought it looked great!
