I'm down to like $2.XX in my Simongiftaccount and I'm wondering if I can add $ to that? Should I? Or should I not do that? Any suggestions would be helpful!
I don't know. I looked into that and really could never find a clear answer on their fee schedule.
I finally got my Obopay card in the mail the other day and THEIR fee schedule varies from 1.25% to $3.95 to put money on the card. I'm not going to pay to deposit money with them so I guess once that $10 is spent that card will be toast.
I've been looking into a couple of "no fee" cards marketed toward parents of teens.
I wouldn't invest too much money into these prepaid cards right now. The advertisers are cracking down right now on this as well as other things they consider "fraud". I'd hate for you to waste money on a simon card and sign up for offers only to have them reversed on you and you be out of a lot of money.
I've actually been looking for one of these cards however. I have a 17 year old that I like to send to the grocery store for me and I hate giving him my debit card that is tied to my checking account.
That is one of the reasons I'm kind of ticked at not getting my OBOPAY credit. All the accusations of "fraud" being tossed around -- this is a product that I'm actually attempting to trial and it has been a pretty major headache.
Exactly what adjective do we get to apply to it when these advertisers are reversing and withholding the money they promised when we signed up for the offers? Because in my book, when they just arbitrarily decide not to pay out money when people met the Terms of Service that was on the screen is more fraudulent than any "quick cancel."
Unfortunately, you can not add money to a Simon gift account.
I am holding off on getting another pre-paid card until all this drama with the RPs settles down. I'm only do offers with companies I absolutely trust and for those I will use a personal credit card.
