Hi all. Can anyone tell me a little about Simba's Clubhouse?
Do I have to make a reservation?
Is it tied to my DVC/hotel ressie?
Do I have to be a guest of AKL to use Simba's Clubhouse? (We are staying at AKL, I'm just curious)
Is there a limited # of kids allowed?
How does checkin work?

Have you used it? Do your kids enjoy it?

I have used sandcastle club (same thing at BC) a few times. You can make ressie, if you miss it it costs 2 hours. I also do walk up, and have gotten in every time. We do this 1-3 times every trip. We don't make ressies any more, we never know if it wll be a good night or over tired. We do walk ups. Sometimes we stay too late at the park, or dinner took too long, or we are ready 2 hours early.

This past trip we used the Neverland Club (at the Poly) and Simba's Clubhouse. On previous trips we have used the Mousketeer Club at GF and the Cub's Den at WL. We always make reservations. This year, we were at WDW 2 weeks, the Mousketeer Club and the Cub's Den both were full on a couple of nights we wanted to use them. If you know you need them on a certain night, I would go ahead and book them. Cancellation policy, I believe is 24 hours.

They will ask where you are staying but it isn't tied to your reservation.

You don't have to be a guest at the particular resort. We were staying at BLT and used Poly for a dinner and the Cal grille and we wanted to use the Mousketeer Club for our dinner at V&A but it was full.

I want to say the limit is 8? There are usually 2 or 3 people working there. My DD4.5 absolutely loves going to the Neverland Club, very much likes the cubs den and simbas clubhouse. They have movies, puzzles, video games, toys, play areas, etc. It is so nice to drop them off, go have a drink at Victoria Falls, head over to dinner and Jiko, relax, and then a couple of hours later walk back, pick them up and walk back to your room. We love them!

You check-in, give them your name, you fill out a sheet, pick your child's dinner, give them your mobile number (if you don't have one, they will give you a pager) and they will give you a copy which is a pink sheet. DON'T LOSE IT! You literally have to hand them back that sheet to get your child.

For $11.25 an hour...you can't go wrong. DVC members get a discount as well...10% I believe.

We used Simba's Cubhouse for our 3 boys during our trip last August. I made a reservation prior. I don't believe that you need to be staying at the resort where the kids' club is located (we were, though). I'm sure there is a certain limit to how many kids they will take -but I didn't ask that question. I just asked my oldest how many kids were there the night he was there and he thought about 10 kids with 2 adults supervising. He said they had video games (they were old though), puzzles & toys, legos, coloring pages, Disney movies (of course) - they watched Wall-E. We used the service for 2 hours....if we didn't have to pay for 3 kids we would have used it longer!! It is $11.00+ per hour per child and a kids' meal is included.

As far as check-in, I stopped in one afternoon while we were by the pool and filled out the information sheet and ordered their dinner choices. You can also do it the night of - just show up 10-15 minutes before your time slot I suppose. Make sure you mention that you're a DVC member - there's a discount!

Our boys loved it! I'd like to say we'd use it again but our oldest will be too old on our next trip. :sad1:

How early can you drop them off, and till what time will they take them in??

Also, what time do you have to pick them up by??

If you don't pick them up will they keep them??? :lmao: :rotfl2:

If my memory serves me right, I think they open at 4pm and close at midnight. You can drop them off whenever. We dropped our boys off at 6pm and picked them up at 8pm. Trust me we would have used it longer if we didn't have three to pay for - the $$$ starts adding up quickly!

We use them as well! My lil' guys loves the clubs! The one over at the Grand Floridian is a little small in size. We have used the Sandcastle at BCV and Simbas at AKV...which are his FAV! Never used the one at Poly. If you pick-up after midnight...there is a Penalty!!! It really does add up and the time flies when they are there. My son loves all the video games they have and the movies they show. Doesn't ever want to leave when we come to pick him up!:lmao:

I think they open at 4:30 and they close at midnight. We just picked up our two girls and they had a really good time. Dh and I had a drink at the lounge, then had dinner at Boma.
