Hi
I had an invite to Silverstone today and took it as a good opertunity to practise with the old camera, I PM'd Matt and got some very helpful tips.( Cheers Mate)

So 277 pictures later all I have to do is go through them and pick out the ones worthy of DISplay.

Sorry Nat
No I didn't there were loads of people around the drivers canteen area but I must admit I was more interested in the trucks. I'll try to get the pictures up tomorrow nightas they will take a while to post.

Sounds like you had a great time, looking forward to the pictures :)

Trucks! What is the matter with you!! We like fast and racey!! Can't wait to see those lovely lines! Don't supposed they had the pit babes there did they:thumbsup2

They do come in all sorts of shapes and sizes!

Good work my man, 'tis hard to photograph something going that fast - and I don't mean the girls!! I've got 1000's of pics from the GP's we've been to and about 1% are any good.

Honest Matt there are some real crackers. I've just got to go through them and pick out the best( not the girl either) :goodvibes

Lucky you. I would love to attend an F1 race or testing session. Thanks for the photos:thumbsup2

Great pictures Tony - looking forward to seeing some more :thumbsup2

I was lucky enough to spend 3 days at the last Brands Hatch British Grand Prix including pit access and got some great memories

Some nice pics there Tony - would love to see some more.

I went to Silverstone years ago (1991), had a fab day :thumbsup2 Tickets only cost us £27 then - I hate to think what they would set us back now

great pics Tony would love to see some more, Ian is going to be so jealous of you when he sees this

I'm going to Silverstone for the British GP :woohoo: (and the 3 day ticket was £99 Joh) so would love some tips on taking photos!

Great photos Tony :thumbsup2

Uploading pictures now.
Claire
If you are on a fast stretch of track, manually focus on the middle of the track as auto focus will not be able to keep up. To get the feel of speed you will have to play with the shutter speed to get the right amount, on the home straight it was 1/125, on Vale / club i used auto focus in sports mode and got a nice sequence of shots when one of the cars skidded out.
I also took some in sports mode on the fast striaght (Woodcote)and those are the pictures that make the car look like it's parked on the track.

Any questions ask, I can always pass then on to Matt for a proper answer.:goodvibes

Ian I'll post some pictures of truck as well mate.:thumbsup2
