Has anyone priced if the Silver plan is cost effective? My DH always wants to eat well (and expensive). "We're on vacation!" is his moto. But of course I'm the one that has to figure out where the money comes from. We don't golf, I doubt I would do the spa thing but who knows. Neither of us are really counter service folks for dinner (lunch maybe), breakfast..he wants to pig out..I just want my coffee! Any price it out? Or use it and have any comments? Thanks!

It can be cost effective if you plan to eat an expensive meal every day. My manager went with it and made sure to order a $100 meal every night. It worked out well for her.

Price it both ways and then figure what you would spend on food and compare.

I'm leaving on Mon. We will be using the Silver Plan. I am going to try and keep track of the prices of dinners and everything else that we use it on. I will report back after we get back.

It sounds like the silver plan would work well for you, especially if you use the wishes for some nice dinners. Since meals are not included with the plan, and you can choose what you use your wishes for, you're not wasting them if you just have coffee. As long as it's not a buffet (or pre-plated meal), you should be able to pay for your meal & use a wish for DH's. You also don't have to use a certain number each day.

You can get prices from the menus ate wdwig.com. You just need to know which restaurants are 2 wishes instead of one.

We have 2 rooms booked at ASSports. My mother and the baby are in 1 room and 4 of us are in the other. Can I book the silver plan for just her room? And if I can, do we just tell the server at the restaurants that she is using a voucher and pay for the rest. Thanks for any info you have.

Yes, you should be able to just add the silver plan to the one room.

We used this plan last year and loved it. We were eating 120.00 meals and using only 1 point. So a $120 meal was only costing us $33 at the end. We took the Keys to the Kingdom tour and that was great. I had a massage at the Grand Floridian. We went to see La Nouba which requires 2 points ($66) but La Nouba is a whole lot more than $66.

So if you plan you can get great deals using the silver plan. I'm going to do the Hoop Dee Doo this time in October on the silver plan. Which requires 1 point and I believe the meal is $49.
