We are going to Disney in a few weeks and want to ask a couple of questions about the Disney Dream Maker Package plus Silver -

I don't quite understand how the wishes work...I know we can use them for meals, certain specialty gifts, and dinner shows. However, we have heard from this website that most people use the wishes for Adult meals and pay for their kids meals. Is a child's wish the same value as an adults? Do the waiters only take off a certain amount of an adults meal when using a child's wish?

This is our first trip to Disneyworld, and we are so excited. Thank You for answering my questions.

On the silver plan, each person gets 2 wishes per night. For adults (12 and up), this costs $68 per night and for kids (3-9) it is $35 per night. So each meal or activity that you use a wish for should cost more than $34 (adult)/$17.50 (kids) for you to get your money's worth out of the silver plan.

The thing about the wishes is that all the wishes are POOLED together. So say a family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) were staying for 7 nights, you would have a pool of 4 x 7 x 2 = 56 wishes. They do not distinguish between adult and kid wishes WHEN YOU USE THEM. So, since kids meals cost around $3 to $5 dollars, it is sometimes better to use the "kid" wishes to pay for your adult meals/activities and then just pay cash for the cheap kids meal.

Check out the mousesavers website for ideas on how to maximize your silver plan.

Thank You for replying to my original message.

I have one more quick question, How do I get the time remaining until we leave for our trip posted on my messages? Thank You!

Look on the technical board, follow the rules to get it going and viola, you will have the same countdown as all of us have but for your date of departure. It isn't hard, I am computer iilltiterate and I did it so you can. :D

Ages 3-9 are child and must order from the children's menu when using the wishes. Ages 10-17 are Junior and pay the same price as an adult and can order from the adult menu.

Thank You for helping me insert my countdown. Our family is so excited about going.
