Silver Lake resort Question

For anyone who has stayed before. We are splitting a 3br unit with another couple. They basically have made all the arrangements and I believe everything is in their name, we just paid them a few months ago. They should be arriving before us. To get into the resort, I imagine there is some sort of security or something. Will we need to do anything in particular to get to our condo. Any tips or pointers or past experiences? Thanks

There are two entrances to Silver Lake Resort. The main entrance is off of Black Lake Road and can be accessed from Hwy 192. There is a security guard there 24/7 and he can direct you to the main office. There is another entrance just off Sherberth Road that sometimes has a guard but is usually accessed by either room card or keypad code (it's been awhile).

Since the reservation is in the other couples name, you should tell that to the guard. I'm not sure if the front desk can do separate check-ins but you can call to ask.

If not, you will have to connect with the other couple to get your keys. You'll also need your own parking pass.

Silver Lake is a nice resort. Very convenient location to AK and restaurants along Hwy 192. There is a nice Super Target and Publix just west near Orange Lake.
