Silver lake or Summer Bay

Trying to decide between Silver Lake and Summer Bay. Any recommendations? I have 3 kids, 2 are teens. It looks like Silver lake has 2 bathrooms in the 2bd condos and Summer Bay does not. It also looks like there is a washer/dryer at Silver lake and not at Summer Bay? Can anyone confirm? Both of those are important to me, but Summer Bay seems like there is a lot to do at the resort. Is it worth the tradeoff? The bathroom situation might be the deciding factor

Summer Bay resort has 2 bathrooms in the 2 bedroom units. Not sure about Villas of Summer Bay. (It's the same resort, but the Villas of Summer Bay is the older section of the resort). We've stayed at both resorts, and there definitely is more to do at Summer Bay, but there is an upcharge for the water park area at Summer Bay and it's on a lake. We didn't even consider the water park area there because we do not swim anywhere we can't see the bottom of, especially in FL. We had a washer & dryer at both resorts. Silver Lake is right behind AK and definitely has the advantage of being closer to the parks.

Stayed at Summer Bay in their 1 bedroom a couple of years ago. It wasn't bad...I had a big issue that they allow smoking at the bar which is right next to the pool. I was 5 feet away from the edge of the pool and maybe 10 feet from the bar so not nearly enough distance. The 1 bedrooms have a full washer and dryer. It is quite a bit further than Silver Lake...there is a back way to go into the Western entrance but you are still looking at 15 minutes to get onto property. Silver Lake you are about 1-2 minutes and literally 5 minutes from AK. And I agree with the other poster- I grew up in Florida but still will not swim in the lakes.

Thanks for the input! I was leaning toward Silver Lake but I think this has confirmed it for me. The waterpark at SB was definitely a NO for me, I don't even like walking within 5 ft of lakes in FL
