Silver charms

Hello -

I understand there are some silver charms available in one of the Magic's gift shops. Are they sterling? And does anyone know if there is a charm for Castaway Cay? I'll be looking for a charm from each of our stops and would love to have one from CC too.

I do this for my DD everytime we go. I don't know about a CC charm, but I did get a Sterling Silver charm of the Disney Magic on the cruise. You can even see the Mickey ears on the two funnels, and on the bottom of the charm it says Disney Magic.

I wanted an Italian charm with the DCL logo, but could not find one.....anyone one seen one like this or of the ships?

There was a discussion re italian charms some time back. I think the consensus was that there aren't any DCL ones now and the best you can do is get the one with the cruise ship (non-DCL) on it.

I have several DCL sterling charms: the Wonder and Magic charms (replicas of the ships that are identical except the engraving on the bottom); Donald painting the helm (ADORABLE, although Donald's brush has a tendency to get caught on clothing); and a flat mouse head shaped charm with the DCL logo (mouse head on a wave) engraced on it. That one used to only be available with a bracelet and is now being sold by itself. I also purchased charms from the ports. For example, I have a Cozumel charm that came with the name of the ship (I am blanking on which one) already engraved on the back. If you're at WDW, you can also get a sterling charm personalized with a date, etc. at the watch shop at the MK, the Christmas Shoppe at the marketplace and likely elsewhere. They do it while you wait. I got another mouse head with my dh's and my initials on it.

If anyone else knows of more DCL charms, do post!!!

DD and I both have charm bracelets and we really wanted the Magic last time we sailed. Bummer is they were out but had Wonder onboard the Magic.

Guess we'll have to sail again to get it!

Thanks for all the info! Sounds like I have a variety of charms to choose from on the ship and will take a quick look when we're on the islands to see what they have to offer.

If you're sailing on the Western itinerary you should be able to find some great charms. We picked up a stingray in one of the little shops in Grand Cayman and something in Cozumel - both for DD and without going to look at her bracelet can't remember what it was! That is bad! Anyway, lots available as I recall. Prices were fine too - the stingray was like $7.50 or $8.
