On the Disneyland website, there is a special offer for park hopper tickets if you are going by a certain date. We go in a few weeks, so we could take advantage of this offer. To get MMTM, you have to purchase through Disney travel.
1)Does the website count as purchasing through the travel group?
We are DVC and are using DVC points, so we don't need a travel package.

2)Is MMTM just getting to see the characters early for the most part?

3) Does anyone know if DVC offers discounted tickets for DL? Would those include MMTM?

Thanks everyone. We have APs for WDW, so simply seeing characters isn't that big of a deal. Of course,as soon as I say that, DS will decide that it is important because he's never seen them at DLR.:confused3

Hi. I have an AP, but DH and DS do not. When my Son was home on leave over the Holidays I purchased his ticket and my DH's on-line and they did not have MMTM.
I believe rides are open during the MMTM. My excitement for using a MMTM would be to get pictures around DL without anyone in them. :tink:

DL isn't empty for Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness. The only way to get them is through a package, and while they do a cute show we've never felt it was really worth it. DVC does NOT have discounted tickets (just APs).

I wouldn't get too hung up on MTTMM. You can see characters at other times. Sure the wait will be longer, but you can prioritize that if waiting is a problem. Likewise Gadget's go coaster, the same ride different theme as the barnstormer in MK gets a line later but you can still see it. Roger Rabbit's cartoon spin is the best benefit because that line gets really long. But it has FP and it's disconnected from the rest of the system so you can grab a FP there while holding one for another attraction.

I don't see that offer on the Disneyland website... I know if you buy any parkhopper with 3+ days of admission you get 1 Magic Morning. But the only way to get the Mickeys Toon Town Morning Madness tickets are to book a whole package (room and tickets) but since you are DVC you don't need the room... Also DVC doesn't offer discounted tickets (other than AP's)! But while you are staying in your DVC room or any other hotel room on property you will have access to all the Magic Mornings offered durring your stay!

MTTMM is only offered with packages purchased through Disney Travel Co and the Disney website does not count if you are only purchasing tickets

2)Is MMTM just getting to see the characters early for the most part?
The rides are also open but as other posters have said, it is not worth the additional price of a package - especially since you have DVC points.

3) Does anyone know if DVC offers discounted tickets for DL? Would those include MMTM?
No discounted tickets, just discount on AP's.

I don't see that offer on the Disneyland website...

When you go to the Disneyland site, go over to Tickets and Packages. Then go down to Special Offers. It is listed under Tickets and Passports..."The More You Play, the More You Save". Now, I haven't checked yet to see how these discounts compare to others out there other than they are better than the normal DLR ticket prices. They are good through April 14, 2011.

I appreciate the help. TTMM isn't that big of a deal (sorry I dorked up the abbrev. earlier). We will be there for a week, but we haven't decided how many days we will get tickets. The crowd calendar is supposed to be at 8 and 9 that week, so we expect crowds and lines. We are a go with the flow kind of family that goes at our DS' pace. Our goal is to have fun.

I still don't see where it says "Toon Town Morning Madness" as being included with ANY of these tickets... I do see it saying that "Magic Morning" is included... but you realize that those are 2 different things!

Capt. Hindsight is correct - the parkhoppers include MAGIC MORNING only - not MTTMM. Toontown Morning Madness is only included in vacation packages.

2. Parkhopper tickets - 3+ days:

Enjoy the magic for a very special price. For just $169, delight in 3 days of fun and enchantment at both Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure™ Park, plus receive one Magic Morning early entry admission per ticket!

Tickets are available for visits from January 4, 2011 through April 14, 2011.

• NOT AVAILABLE AT THE BOX OFFICE. Savings based on pre-arrival ticket price.

• The $169 discounted ticket provides each guest with a 3-Day Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Ticket valid for admittance to both Disneyland® Resort theme parks, including visits to both parks on the same day. Check for offers on longer ticket lengths.

• Ticket valid beginning January 4, 2011 and first day of use must occur on or before April 14, 2011. These tickets expire 13 days after the first day of use or April 27, 2011, whichever occurs first, and each day of use constitutes one full day of use.

• Offer may not be combined with any other ticket offer, discount, or promotion.

Magic Morning admission allows admission into selected attractions at a designated Disneyland® Resort theme park before the park opens to the general public on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. To enhance the Magic Morning experience, it is strongly recommended that guests arrive at least one hour and 15 minutes prior to regular park opening. Magic Morning admission is based on availability and does not operate daily. Applicable theme park, days and times of operation and all other elements including, but not limited to, operation of attractions, entertainment, stores and restaurants and appearances of characters may vary and are subject to change without notice. Other restrictions may apply.

Hope this helps.

Capt. Hindsight is correct - the parkhoppers include MAGIC MORNING only - not MTTMM. Toontown Morning Madness is .

I would advise both of you to read the first post before posting and see if the questions are answered.

The questions of if MTTM comes with tickets or a package was answered in the second reply. Then restated in the fourth reply. It was done with. No need to question the OPs thinking.

Thanks sierranevada but I had already decided that TTMM wasn't a big deal for our family and wasn't needed. I just wanted to make sure that we weren't missing out on something major.

You rock skiingfast!

I understand that it was answered in those posts. But the OP brought it up again in Post #8 so I was not sure if she caught the difference. I was only trying to make sure she had the correct information - the two are easy to confuse.

I would advise you to read the original post in the first place... The OP said that they are in DVC and are not getting a package, yet there you are in post #4 rambling on an on about MTTMM that the OP is not elegible for anyways.

Did you see OP's #2 question?

As the OP, I was not trying to start an argument. I only mentioned Toontown Madness to see if a) what constituted purchase from a Disney travel company and b) if it was anything much more than characters. I understood from the beginning that the tickets from the website likely did not include this perk; however, sometimes DIS veterans knows "tricks" that I might not. The only reason I explained to captain hindsight where to find the tickets was because he/she had mention not being able to find them on the website. If I can help someone else save money, I am more than happy to do so. It is amazing how a few simple or silly questions can go so far overboard. Skiingfast makes a good point. Please read the posts before answering questions that have already been answered. The reason things get brought up repeatedly is because I state that I have already taken posters' advice and am not going to do so and so, then another poster comes along and posts something that had he/she read the thread would realize had been addressed, and I attempt to make my decision clear once again. So there is no more confusion.....
I am staying on DVC points.
I am buying my tickets either from the website or another source.
I will be skipping Toontown whatever because I will not have tickets to it.
I will have a fun relaxing vacation enjoying my DS and DH taking their first trip to DLR.
Are we clear?
Okay then...have a good evening everyone and a great weekend.

This has nothing to do with you. Captain Hindsight is new to the boards and has made a few rude comments to posters since joining this forum. This tends to frustrate the rest of our happy bunch, myself included, hence the tension ;) I won't keep feeding this fire, just know that your question was perfectly clear and legitimate, so don't worry, and please feel free to ask anything you like!

Absolutely - I know you will have a great time!!! :thumbsup2

The VGC are gorgeous and you will feel very spoilt there! Don't forget, you can order groceries from Von's to be delivered - with a real kitchen, it is nice to have.

Enjoy your first trip to DLR!!

I know where to find tickets... I was asking where you saw ticket for sale that included tickets to MTTMM. You lead people to believe you don't know what you are talking about when you can't get the acronym right (MMTM from OP)

:P

First of all, I tried very hard to be the bigger person and ignore your insult. I then considered discussing it with you via PM, but you don't have that capability. You can read my other posts. I have been around a while, and my posts are typically very friendly. However, this just wasn't the night to mess with me.

PLEASE go back and read the OP and question #1. I was asking if the online tickets were considered part of the travel group. I never stated they included Toontown Madness. I was trying to determine that. I did not think that they did. The acronym mix up could have been a typing error. How do you know? I admitted I messed that up, but that in no way is a reflection on my intelligence. I have stated that I am accustomed to WDW and am getting used to the differences between the two resorts.

As for editing your post because you were told to be nice, your edit was for nothing. You did not succeed in your mission. I wish you better luck next time. If you approach these boards in a positive manner, they can be a wealth of information. The people can be a lot of fun too. It is all in your attitude. Good luck.

yes i agree the questions were answered nicely in post #2 and 3!
