We are visiting S. Cal for 10 days in July. We want to see Beverly Hills/Hollywood/Rodeo Dr. on a day trip. When you drive to Hollywood - can you see the Hollywood sign from certain points or do you have to go to a particular spot to see it? Also, what are the chances of actually seeing any "stars" ... lol THANKS! :confused3

You can see the sign from many places, even the freeway while driving in. It's big and way up on a hill.

I'm so bad a remembering faces, I could walk right past someone and not know it. So I don't know if I ever 'saw' anyone when I was in Hollywood.

If you go to the KodaK Theatre which is on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Highland, there is a spot where you can see the sign from. It is built in a way that you can see it perfectly. But, there are alot of people there doing the same thing. There are different floors you can choose from.

It's easy to see the Hollywood sign from lots of places. :)

I've been on the star walk a few times and the only "famous" person I ever saw was Ryan Seacrest. And IMO he's not famous (but he sure thinks he is!)
