Silly shares questions maybe

As you know i am Italian and my partner is English and we live in Italy.
I have realized today (better late than never you see...) he still has a bank account with Natwest and so we could buy DLP shares with them.
But - and here's the silly bit - if we buy shares in England but live in Italy would they still be suitable for joining the shareholders club and then for discounts etc etc
Sorry if i am dumb...

As far as I recall, all I had to do was e-mail a copy of the notification of the shares I held. I see no reason why 'holding' them in another country should affect your right to join the shareholders club.

Hi GIulia....I was wondering wouldn't it be easier to buy them here in Italy with your bank ? I told my bank that I wanted the shares and they did everything. Bought them for me and then when I had the confirmation I faxed it to DLP and then they sent the card to my home address.

Regarding your question, wouldn't the bank in the UK make it necessary for a signature to be added to the request ? Or could you do it online ?

The only thing is that the card will be made out to the name of the person that buys the shares !

the deal with Natwest could be done online, I have been thinking of going to my bank (monte dei paschi) and ask but it looks like everything is TOO MUCH difficult with them lately and we wonder it could be cheaper in england too...
Well anyway we will ask both banks and see about the name, mine orhis is the same, we travel together

I think you'll be fine as long as you can prove ownership of shares that is enough to become Shareholders Club member
