This sounds silly but we've never been—are the movie clips shown at Sci-Fi scary? My sons have looked at the rest. pictures, and love the idea of sitting in cars to eat, but my oldest (will be 7) is VERY sensitive about scary movies, and if they show clips of monsters, etc, no matter how old fashioned the movie, he'll be scared. Should we skip it? We certainly have enough other places to choose from! :)

They dont actually play movies, more like ad's for movies, mini cartoons, kitchen of the future ads and intermission ads. A few of the movies I remember were Attack of the 50 foot woman, the amazing colossal man and cat women of the moon. We took our 4 year old there and she had no problem. It is, however, pretty dark in there with lights on the cars and the entire ceiling looks like a starlight sky.

The clips are just brief scenes from the movies. They also play a few cartoons. Your son will love Sci- Fi, we always enjoy ourselves there.

My 6 year old DS is quite the chicken. He doesn't watch anything remotely scary. He loved the Sci-Fi. Didn't bother him in the least!

Have fun! :cool1:

The clips at Sci-Fi are in one word "cheesy". I don't think one clip lasts more than a minute and there are ads mingled in with "go to the snack bar now for a refreshing drink and popcorn!" But it is dark so a penlight might be necessary. Not only for your son but so you can read the menu.
