Does anyone happen to know if the salon has a Nail Technician? I have sculptured nails and may need a fill while on board.

I apoligize ahead of time for anyone that thinks this is ridculous.

Not silly....I want to know the same thing! I doubt they do, however. It looks like they do just manis and pedis, but no acrylic/laquer fills. I could be wrong, however!

Yes, they do and they are wonderful. I had a French manicure before I went on our cruise in January. French manicures don't hold up well with all the water and hand washing, so I needed a polish change and some filing. She also used some products on my face that were great (of course, they were available for purchase in the salon). The charge was about $17.00. The technician was wonderful, lots of pampering just for a nail job. I plan on getting my nails done on the ship on our next cruise.

I had a french manicure done on the 2/7/04 cruise and it cost me $50.00 before tip.....I had no filling just the manicure!!! I thought that was very expensive since I can get the same thing at home for under $20.00

Princess Tink, your comment "I apologize ahead of time for anyone who thinks this question is ridiculous" was tooo funny!

This is getting expensive! I managed to talk DH into doing the romance at sea package (we want to do the massages), and now w/the nail pampering talk, you all are making me want to have get my nails done too. (I always have a fill at home before we leave.)

mmouse 37, what you said about the 50.00 cost might change my mind though.

I wonder how much for a solar nail fill?

I could just imagine someone (like my DH) reading this and rolling his eyes......."OMG, is she serious!?!?"

I do plan on having a fill before I leave, but were going to be in WDW a couple days prior to the cruise and I'm just a little concerned about needing a fill in the middle of the week while on the cruise. The way my appts are working, and my work schedule I might need a fill Thurs while on board, I try to plan for this not to happen, but I'm running into Prom session at my salon.......they get aboslutely swamped come May, it gets me everytime!

To solve someone's questions about the polish change, you might try a french manicure. I like keeping a french manicure ecspecially when on vacation, it goes with everything.

I had a regular manicure while onboard, and it was around $20 + tip. They definitely do acrylics and fills though.
